For those who don't know, member titles are chosen purely at my whim. I go through and change them all when the mood strikes me, which is usually every couple of months. But I'll change them sooner when I notice someone I've missed, or when an avatar changes so that the joke doesn't work anymore. Celeste is the great exception to the latter.[/color:post_uid0]

French nouns are male or female. "Belle" is female, therefore it would be "ma." Like madame = "my lady" and monsieur = "my lord." "Monsieur" is the term for "Mr." whether you're male or female. Edit: the speaker, that is.

I've been thinking about whether to put it back. The reason I might not is that I'm getting tired of all the emphasis on my slowness. Yes, it's a running joke and a good one, but it's not something I'm proud of -- and since about August I've been working my butt off for the site. I've just had a lot of trouble juggling school and RL and 5MV, and I have a bad habit of making promises I can't keep. My old title just suggests laziness, which, while it's sometimes part of the problem, is far from the whole story.

Regardless, I may put it back. Kira [i:post_uid0]is[/i:post_uid0] faster than me, especially when she's on a roll.[/color:post_uid0]

We ran a pulp 30s adventure with lots of mummies and shotguns with it, and it worked surprisingly well, so we migrated it to a Star Wars game, and there's talks of porting our Spycraft setting over to it, too, mainly because our GM is going crazy doing the D20-esque bookkeeping. (I'm against it myself, though, seeing how every time I get a new Spycraft source book I feel like a kid in a candy store...there's so many feats, classes and gear that you just couldn't do justice to in SW. But I disgress...)

Besides, regarding FF: what fun is it to advance pre-made characters? That's what never made sense to me: Wouldn't you rather play Neverwinter Nights or, say, Fallout? Both manage to have more freedom while still keeping a tight storyline. Or, if you're in love with pre-made characters, why not try Planescape:Torment? Atleast you can adjust the main character to be what you want to be.

Title waiting time varies widely, just like email waiting time from me. It's a longstanding principle. Generally you'll only get a title quickly if your avatar suggests an obvious one or I know you from someplace already (like evay); otherwise I wait till I have an idea of your personality.

Do you like the title, Valium? That never used to be an issue, but after the Ariela incident, I've decided from now on I'm willing to change people's titles if they're dissatisfied or tired of them.

Oh, funny story time. Here it comes.

So, I'd just had the worst day ever for the pettiest reasons imaginable. I spent the whole day looking for a dress. 1.) I hate shopping for clothes. Hate it hate it hate it. 2.) I hate dresses even more than I hate shopping for clothes. 3.) We didn't even FIND a dress. 4.) My mom hates shopping in general. So everybody was having fun.

Then we got home to find out our mailbox had been broken into. I lost a comic from this. (We were able to replace it about a week later, though...)

Right after we find out this piece of great news, my friend who's going to the play with me calls.

She tells me the news.

And that was the last straw. I started bawling into the phone. Loudly. I stayed that way for about half an hour, I think.

I got my tauntage from life. And this member title certainly does not qualify as tauntage. What it qualifies as is pwnage! :D

Wait a minute. I get the feeling I've already told this story. X_x

SHIZNIT. I had to upgrade to phpBB v2.0.11 because of a security leak, and I didn't think it would interfere with the mods I've made. Apparently it did.
