Look at this (http://forums.fark.com/cgi/fark/comments.pl?IDLink=2823158&thread_type=voteresults&ok=1).

This (http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/5589/jfkawesomegw4.jpg) in particular.

That line sure gets around, doesn't it?

Okay, this is very important: nobody tell Kira.

It's a long-established Bob and George sentiment.

Zeke, I was looking at your sig, and they yank the hair out because the DNA is in the root.

"Nobody tell Kira."

In Bob and George it's a running gag that you shouldn't comment on any ineptitude on the part of The Author, or he'll kill you with his semiphenomical, nearly cosmic Author powers only to resurrect you later with a contrived plot device.

Ah yes, because there are no plotholes. Only spoons.

Anyway, in this case there's no "ineptitude" involved -- quite the opposite. The Kirk line is from one of Kira's fivers. If she knew how popular it is (as she may already), there'd be, as they say, no living with her. Bad enough that I know. I find it really galling that I've been doing this site for seven years and all the most popular things on it are by other people.

Hey, if you do a search for "'goat people' AND butterfly" you get my quote from Arzosah's signature. I'm still tickled about that one.

By the way, folks, do check out the other lolpresidents. This one is sheer genius. And speaking of genies....

semiphenomical, nearly cosmic Author powers

Heh, I missed this before. Nice one.

There sure were a lot of Reagan ones in there. Is he just the most lolable president?

I was going to demur from accepting credit for the blatant plagarization of a line from a classic film, but then I realized that that's ALL that we do here, so it's par for the course.
