I saw something similar on a long dead website. Two people or characters are picked to fight, and someone comes up with results: who wins, and how.

First fight: James Moriarty vs. The Doctor

EDIT: Just correcting a typo.[/color:post_uid0]

Oh yeah, I remember that site. There were some really interesting fights. Professor Farnsworth from [i:post_uid0]Futurama[/i:post_uid0] won at least once, and I think Dr. McCoy had a streak going for a while. Janeway lost to C3PO and R2D2, though.[/color:post_uid0]

Holodoc or Dr. Who? It's very difficult to defeat someone when you just walk through them.[/color:post_uid0]

I saw a site like that. They discussed and voted on whether the standard TOS away team would win against the Planet of the Apes. Considering the law that Kirk can never lose, the final vote was rather closer than it should have been...

Anyway, I go with The Doctor. Moriarty was taken out by Sherlock Holmes, who was admittedly stronger than the average man, but seven men should therefore be able to take Moriarty out.[/color:post_uid0]

Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the last-place finisher in yesterday's Uptake Speed Trials, Sa'ar Chasm.

I guess it would depend on who got to the holoemitter controls first.[/color:post_uid0]

The Doctor would win no problemo. IIf he dies he can just come back in another incarnation, and plus he would have at least one companion to help him out. Ace could probably kick Moriarty's butt all on her own.[/color:post_uid0]

For future reference, The Doctor is and has always been Doctor Who. Using EMH might cause less confusion next time.[/color:post_uid0]

Heh, I knew this thread seemed familer. I'm reading it, and not looking at the dates, and saying "Hmm, Haven't we done this already?" Yes.. we have, this is an old thread that someone has replyed to months later. :P I hate when you ppl do that!

Zeke
12-15-2004, 06:56 PM
Some call that... TIM.

Most call it thread necrophilia, however, and it's generally frowned upon.

Sa'ar Chasm
12-15-2004, 07:35 PM
Necromancy, Zeke. It's only necrophilia if they...uhhh...never mind.

Quantum materiae materietur marmota monax si marmota monax materiam possit materiari?

Si itis cum Iesuitis, non cum Iesu itis.

And now I flee back to my cave from rotting Musa sapientem hurled this way

Hey, guys, it's already been done, here (http://www.grudge-match.com/History/startrek.shtml)

Alas, only 2 trek heros have ever won.

Still might be fun to see if picard could be kahn.

Oh, and the EMH wins.

Maybe we could do a story fiver based on our battles.

Ok ok, one one condition - wtf did you get that saying? X_x

Sa'ar Chasm
03-10-2005, 04:35 PM
In a dank, dismal pseudo-Victorian lab on a mountaintop where the partially decayed bodies of old sayings are gruesomely stitched together to form new sayings.

Thunderstorms, maniacal cackling and lurching servants are optional.

It's in Saskatchewan, naturally.

Chancellor Valium
03-10-2005, 07:44 PM
Naaahh.......Snowdonia. The initiation test to get into the Secret Society For The Gruesome Mangling Of Sayings is to gain the reaction to spit on sight of anyone even remotely suspected of being either from South Wales, or being english

Sa'ar Chasm
03-10-2005, 07:45 PM
Mountaintops are hard to come by in Saskatchewan.

(No, Kira, the Cypress Hills don't count.)

Edit: removal of justification for homicide.

Chancellor Valium

GASP! Is this kind of thing allowed at 5MV?

Thunderstorms, maniacal cackling and lurching servants are optional.

The castle is optional too.

Options are optional! (Red vs Blue, episode 37, Sarge)

GASP! Is this kind of thing allowed at 5MV?
Yes, it's just that what is going to happen next to Sa'ar is also allowed, so people don't generally bother, on account of wanting to retain all their arms and legs intact.

NO.

*rereads previous post in different frame of mind*

*slaps forehead, runs and hides, edits post*

I was referring to the Cypress Hills, which are apparently the highest point of land between the Rockies and Eastern Canada.

You're all sick. :P

Zeke
03-11-2005, 06:38 AM
Oh, yes. We're sick. After all, it's not like the interpretation we guessed is totally in character for you.

Sa'ar Chasm
03-11-2005, 06:44 AM
Well, OK, usually it is in character for me, but in this instance I plead innocence (in various senses of the word).

Chancellor Valium
03-11-2005, 10:30 AM

Plead denied. Everyone's guilty of something, and you are more guilty than most of us  :P

PointyHairedJedi

It's a good thing for you Sa'ar that Kira didn't see that. Heck, I'd think twice (maybe even thrice) about posting something like that, and I don't even live on the same continental land-mass!

Chancellor Valium
03-11-2005, 09:25 PM
Mmmm........I think that's wise. Like calling Kira by certain military ranks isn't

Zeke
03-12-2005, 09:50 AM
It's a good thing for you Sa'ar that Kira didn't see that.

I wouldn't make that assumption. I don't think their captain will, either.

Chancellor Valium

PointyHairedJedi
03-12-2005, 03:29 PM

Oh my God! Zeke, a giant hummingbird is about to eat your hat and cloak!

*Runs*

Zeke
03-12-2005, 06:56 PM
That was a quote from "Balance of Terror." But seriously, I wouldn't make that assumption.

Chancellor Valium
03-12-2005, 07:42 PM
What? That Kira didn't read it, or that Sa'ar will get killed for it? The first is unlikely - Sa'ar would already be six feet under - the latter, a foregone conclusion......
