Apologies if the thread topic seems insulting and/or odd. Â It will all become clear shortly.

A good friend of mine recently won a contest through Bootlegger (a clothing store, in case they don't have them in the U.S.) and got a chance to participate in a Survivor-type online reality show that took part during a cross-Canada road trip. Â Cast members are voted off the bus as the trip goes on, and the grand prize at the end is $5,000. Â Who wins this $5,000 is determined by online voting... and this is where the call for monkeys comes in. :D

My friend, Curtis Ellinger is his name, is not doing too bad in the voting right now... he's about fourth, or close to it. Â The guy in first, however (a back-stabbing, lying type that populate these sorts of shows by the name of Kyle Paul) has a pretty decent lead and I'm convinced he has the proverbial thousand monkeys at a thousand keyboards voting for him and against the rest of the competition. Â So, I need some monkeys of my own. Â The voting is ongoing at www.canadianroadtrip.com (http://www.canadianroadtrip.com) and I think it ends on July 15th, which is when I [i:post_uid0]really[/i:post_uid0] need some monkeys. Â If you're bored, or even if you're not, do go and give Curtis (http://www.canadianroadtrip.com/roadtrip/cast/08/index.html) several, dozens, [i:post_uid0]hundreds[/i:post_uid0] of 10/10s, and don't hesitate to give any of the other cast members a nice dose of 1/10s. Â (You can vote multiple times by clicking the "select another cast" pull down menu and clicking the same person again.) Â Don't be shy to get neurotic about it and just sit there clicking for hours on end... I'm sure there are more destructive habits to have. Â (And I have a feeling many of you have far, far too much time on your hands...)

If Curtis wins the $5,000, he's buying me dinner. Â If I get a free dinner, then you guys get fivers... I'm thinking something big, like the [i:post_uid0]Star Wars[/i:post_uid0] trilogy that I've been meaning to five for so long. Â (I'll still do them if he loses, but... soon.)

So go vote, get [i:post_uid0]Star Wars[/i:post_uid0] fivers. Â Cool? Â Cool.[/color:post_uid0]

I'm not supporting reality TV, I'm supporting a friend winning money and me getting a free meal. :D Let the record show that I still hate reality TV with a passion. (And technically, this isn't on TV.)[/color:post_uid0]

'K. Got a few votes in. I must say, though, after the recent biznis about "people other than Kira being corrupt", this sounds like a solicitation (indirect, perhaps) for bribes. ;)[/color:post_uid0]

Corrupt? I'm not corrupt. I'm just doing someone a favor. And than that someone might do a favor back. :D[/color:post_uid0]

Ah, enlightened self-interest. Makes the universe go 'round, that stuff.

On the contrary, stalking is evil, as are bribery, corruption, reality TV, and "earning" $5000 thereby. I'd have some problems with all this if Kira weren't inherently evil anyway.[/color:post_uid0]
