Star Trek 12 - Time-quest

I loved Star Trek Generations so much, mostly because it had characters from TOS and TNG. Wouldn't it be cool if there was a movie with characters from TOS, ENT, TNG, DS9 and VOY?

It would start with Enterprise characters, participating in the Temporal Cold War. Technobabble happens, and they meet characters from the other series. Picard already knows Kirk because of what happened in Generations. They meet the Janeway who's already in the Alpha Quadrant and the Sisko from the celestial temple. There could be some logical problem solved by T'Pol, Spock and Tuvok (and Seven, and Data.) Daniels (who knows the ENT chars) and Braxton (who knows the VOY chars), who are from the same century, help solve the whole thing in the end.

This would be a movie in which I wouldn't care if it turned out to be a huge reset button. :)[/color:post_uid0]

Only there'd be a pretty big plot hole because Daniels and Braxton are not, in fact, from the same century. Which fits right in with other Trek stuff. :D[/color:post_uid0]

Tolkien was working on a sequel before he died about the return of evil to Middle Earth. Never finished it, though.

Henh, amusing fact:

The lands of the West = Numendor.

Middle Earth = Endor, from ened (middle) and dor (land).

I'm given to understand that all it took was a short plane trip followed by a pint of beer and just like that Mary Sue Scrivener was churning them out like she'd been born for it.

Until she passed out an hour later anyway. I guess 'shipper fanfic writers don't hold their beer well.

Unfortunately it seems that she got stuck on a particular theme and in every single one of her PHJ/C works PHJ is set on fire by the Evil Aliens and catalina marina saves him by dousing the fire with the contents of her coffee cup while some Voyager crewmember looks on helplessly. I suspect she may have thought she was supposed to write the same sort of stuff as usual but substitute different names for a few of the characters... :?

STAR WARS
EPISODE II.V
WE REALLY COCKED IT UP
In a desperate ploy not to have to include lots of dialogue to cover the fiendish amount of time required to be covered in Episode III, GEORGE LUCASWALKER has had to make a film in between so that the whole series isn't completely out of kilter.

Meanwhile, he must eliminate the inconsistencies - where does COUNT DOOKU go? when will GRAND MOFF TARKIN reappear, and most importantly - who will replace the great ALEC-WAN GUINESS-KENOBI??

While he has been writing this, aboard his aeroplane the TANTRIC IV BLOCKADE RUNNER, angry fans, led by the dreaded DARTH DAVEDAR pursue in a highly advance uber-'plane called AN IMPERIAL STAR DESTROYER...............

Cat loves PHJ.

:p

Regarding the fanfic, ahem:

One rainy day in Paris... PHJ and Cat meet on Place de Concorde. It`s love at first sight. They spend many happy months together, and their song is "As Time Goes By". But one day, when they were supposed to leave Paris and meet on the train station, she doesn`t appear. PHJ tearfully leaves Paris alone and opens a bar in Casablanca. One night, he hears his old friend and bar pianist, Sam, playing "As Time Goes By" on his old, rusty piano. PHJ, angrily, screams: "I told you never to play that song agai..."

and then he sees her...

::tear:: :weep:: ::moan:: ::sob::

Then there are two sequels, one by Admiral Sab:

Cat just posted at the same time as me.

Do you mind if I write the sequel? They met again and ran to each other. Neither knowing just what to say. PHJ finally spoke: "The fivers must flow." That's all he needed to say and they were once again blissfully happy and in wuv.

Sab

And one, yet again, from myself...

***
And NOOO, the fanfic must not end happily! Where are the potential Oscar nominations in that? It should go...

"Cat kisses PHJ passionately, but tells him that she`s married to someone else... um, Gatac. :p She must escape Casablanca with her husband immediately cause they`re on the run from Zeke, after making one too many chili jokes. At the very end, she wishes to stay, but PHJ tells her she must leave, to save herself and her hubby, with the words: "We`ll always have Stoke-on-Trent."

Hotaru
08-05-2004, 10:40 PM
I find it all perfectly believable, myself. Although, I doubt that Cat would be on the run from Zeke. Being evil and all it should be expected that she would do something evil. Maybe she was running becuase she discovered that Nic wasn't a girl, not yet a woman, and was truly a Britney Spears fan. In an attempt to save him, she kidnapped Britney. At that point in time she was attacked by several pre-teen fan girls. Thus she began her life long search of a place where pre-teen girls no longer exist.

There I go, trying to rationalize a crazy member title. I shouldn't do that.
