Kira here. Today we've got a trio of fivers... well, one and two halves if you consider the length of TAS episodes. IJD GAF brings us Five-Minute "The Lorelei Signal (http://3sygma.com/fiveminute/startrek/theloreleisignal.html)" and Kristina Runyeon-Odeburg presents Five-Minute "Once Upon A Planet (http://3sygma.com/fiveminute/startrek/onceuponaplanet.html)." Also today, to the delight of rabid Voyager fans everywhere, Five-Minute "The 37's (http://3sygma.com/fiveminute/voyager/the37s.html)" also by Kristina I'm-not-typing-that-last-name-again, making her first foray into Voyager.[/color:post_uid0]

I loved the "Lorelei" fiver. Yay for Uhura! :D

The "Once Upon a Planet" one was good too. For some reason, I thought I saw a reference to "War Games" in there...? :S

I'm leaving the 37's one for tomorrow. Gotta go to sleep y'know. ;)

(Edit) The 37's one was also very funny. A lot of puns.[/color:post_uid0]

Of course, that takes more keystrokes than the name.

ROFLMIAC! *thud!*[/color:post_uid0]

Actually I think this is a fairly standard log entry for Kirk.

[quote:post_uid0]Kirk: Uhura, what's the computer up to?
Uhura: It misses Professor Falken.
Sulu: Try a game of Tic-Tac-Toe.
Computer: I prefer "Thermonuclear War."[/quote:post_uid0]
Nice [i:post_uid0]War Game[/i:post_uid0] reference.

[quote:post_uid0]Noonan: (sip) What do you drink these days?
Kim: Don't look at me -- turn to Chakotay for spirit guides.[/quote:post_uid0]
Heh. Good fiver. Liked the Gates of Hell too.[/color:post_uid0]

Yes, but it only requires a fraction of the concentration to spell. :D[/color:post_uid0]

[b:post_uid0]Uhura:[/b:post_uid0] Ready girls? What's our battle cry?
[b:post_uid0]Female officers:[/b:post_uid0] Miniskirts rule! Redshirts drool!
 :D
HA! [b:post_uid0][i:post_uid0]Brilliant![/i:post_uid0][/b:post_uid0] (And it's also true.)

[b:post_uid0]Earhart:[/b:post_uid0] ...you'll need three years to get back.
[b:post_uid0]Paris:[/b:post_uid0] Says who?
[b:post_uid0]Earhart:[/b:post_uid0] Says Jim Wright.
Excellent [b:post_uid0]Delta Blues[/b:post_uid0] reference!

Captain's Log: I have decided to offer the crew to stay on the planet, although it is of Paramount importance that they remain on the ship. One guess as to how many will opt out.

 LOL, nice voyager fiver! cant wait to read the other new fivers![/color:post_uid0]

>> Kirk: The singing maidens; they have the most beautiful voices I've ever heard.... Quick, tie me to my chair!
Spock: So you won't be compelled to follow their enchanting voices?
Kirk: So I'll be ready when they come! <<

Hilarious allusion to Homer's Odyssey, with a nice Kirk-ian twist![/color:post_uid0]

I loved the 37's fiver.

There is one thing I am wondering about. Why isnt my name ever listed as people logged in? I am logged in, but it does not list me at the bottom where it lists who is on the site. I am just curious[/color:post_uid0]

I-cookies.

Second-person would be you-cookies, and third person would be s/he-cookies.[/color:post_uid0]

My favorites:

[quote:post_uid0]Uhura: Men suck; as proof I shall ask the opinion of the computer.
Computer: As justification for your taking command, I declare the suckiness of men.
Uhura: See?
Chapel: Hey, you voiced the computer this episode!
Uhura: You have absolutely no room to talk. [/quote:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0]Uhura: Where is the Keeper?
Computer: That unit has been terminated.
Uhura: I'm determined to get out of here.
Computer: You'll be "de-terminated" soon enough if you don't watch it. [/quote:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0]Janeway: Let's land this ship!
Paris: I haven't done that.
Janeway: Neither have I, but I'm not at the helm, so I'm immune to blame. [/quote:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0]Captain's Log: I have decided to offer the crew to stay on the planet, although it is of Paramount importance that they remain on the ship. One guess as to how many will opt out. [/quote:post_uid0][/color:post_uid0]

'Lorelai' on the front page is spelt wrong - as far as I know it should be 'Lorelei'

Other than that, very enjoyable fivers.[/color:post_uid0]

Thank you all for the kind words on the fivers -- glad you liked them. I had a great deal of fun writing them, although it is of Paramount importance that my husband is credited for just that joke. :)[/color:post_uid0]

the 37's one was great, but you made it very hard for me not to laugh out loud in the library. I’m sure everyone around me thinks I’m nuts now, but that’s normal.[/color:post_uid0]
