It's two new fivers! Â One for today, one for tomorrow, to get me back onto an early-in-the-day schedule. Â Here's "Equilibrium (../ds9/equilibrium.html)" by Derek and "Night Terrors (../nextgen/nightterrors.html)" by Standback.[/color:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0]Renhol: Take two of these and call me in the morning. Not too early though, I sleep in.
Jadzia: Ick. I don't like medicine.
Renhol: You'll like these. They taste like chocolate.
Bashir: What do the little 'm's on them mean?
Renhol: They stand for, um, medicine.[/quote:post_uid0]

Nonononono! Not the red ones! The red ones are my favourite.[/color:post_uid0]

Sisko: Roads? Where we're going we won't need roads. [/quote:post_uid0]
Ah, a 'Back to the Future' reference. Funny.

Good job Derek (I'd say the same to Standback, but over here it's still the 20th, so that fiver technically hasn't been published yet).[/color:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0]Data: What can the alien message mean? "One moon circles"... Perhaps--
Picard: Ye Gods! They're saying they'll rescue us if we give them a small solar system!
Data: Or they need hydrogen.
Picard: ...or maybe they just need hydrogen. Boy, it's a good thing the aliens know English.
Troi: Captain! The aliens don't know English! It's just translated telepathically!
Picard: Oh. Well, boy, it's a shame the aliens don't know how to telepathically translate the word "hydrogen."
Troi: Captain, shut up. [/quote:post_uid0]

*cackles*

Good work Standback and Derek! :D[/color:post_uid0]

Yolad: (over the comm) Joran was my brother, and he was joined.
Sisko: I love our comm system.[/quote:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0]Data: We are restored to sanity and calm -- Deanna has saved the ship!
Picard: That... sounds useful.
Data: Yes, sir.
Picard: AAAAAAAAAA! NOOOOOOOOOO![/quote:post_uid0]
:D

Great fivers![/color:post_uid0]

I've got a *lot* of catching up to do on this site, but I had to stop by and quote this:
[quote:post_uid0]Crusher: Captain, I believe that making hundreds of people go crazy and try to kill each other is these aliens' form of communication.
Picard: My God... I never imagined there could be a race consisting entirely of talk show hosts.[/quote:post_uid0]
Nice one, Standback!... plus the rest of it.[/color:post_uid0]

^ I liked that one, too. ;)

And this had me chuckling
[quote:post_uid0]
Jadzia: I'd kill to be able to play the keyboard.
Bashir: You seem to be playing fine without killing anyone.
Jadzia: Don't tempt me. [/quote:post_uid0]

before I'd read anything else.

[quote:post_uid0](Jadzia plays the theme from "The Inner Light" at Ludicrous Speed.)

[quote:post_uid0]Jadzia: I think I want a second opinion.
Renhol: Okay, you're ugly too.[/quote:post_uid0]
Heheheh.

The first three paragraphs of Standback's fiver were especially funny. So was
[quote:post_uid0]Troi: Captain, what do you think?
Picard: I think "Freudian" would be a nice name for that goldfish.[/quote:post_uid0]
:D[/color:post_uid0]

My favourite parts:

Jadzia: Ick. I don't like medicine.
Renhol: You'll like these. They taste like chocolate.
Bashir: What do the little 'm's on them mean?
Renhol: They stand for, um, medicine.

Renhol: Maybe the medicine isn't working. Take these, um, super-medicines!
Jadzia: I think I want a second opinion.
Renhol: Okay, you're ugly too.

Nice Groucho Marx reference!

Zaheva: (on log entry) They're after me! They're after me, I tell you!
Crusher: Paranoid delusions, Captain.
Zaheva: GAK!
Picard: No, look, she wasn't delusional after all. See? Nothing to worry about.

Data: We're caught in a Tyken's Rift. I recommend that we get out by making something blow up.
Picard: You've been talking to Mr. Reed again, haven't you, Data?[/color:post_uid0]

Thanks, mudshark. That was actually the joke that caused me to write the rest of the fiver.

And, Standback, that was a great fiver. I especially liked Picard throughout the fiver.[/color:post_uid0]

You're welcome ;) I'm a little late with the praises, I know, but you guys truly deserve it. I was feeling real miserable over my schoolwork when I got online but reading these two [i:post_uid0]excellent[/i:post_uid0] fivers helped dispel most of the gloom and I'm all happy now. :)

Isn't it nice to know you're helping a fellow human by writing fivers? Awww :cue cheesy Kodak-moment music here:[/color:post_uid0]

"Helping" might be too strong a word. "Distracting," maybe. "Diverting."

But what the hey. I'm having fun, and you're having fun - yaaaaaay! :D[/color:post_uid0]

Hmm. I think there's a slogan in here.

Excellent Fiver, [b:post_uid0]Stanback![/b:post_uid0]
:D
The scene with [b:post_uid0]Troi[/b:post_uid0] & the [b:post_uid0]Dream Voices[/b:post_uid0] was excellent.
I remember watching that EP and laughing as she flew
through the dream sequnce while wondering when she
was going to decipher what the weird alien was trying
to say to her. It felt good to laugh at that scene all
over again after reading about it in the Fiver.

I just got around today to reading these fivers... I loved them!

[quote:post_uid0]Worf: Commander, this crewman is dead.
Riker: Sucks to be him. And him. And him. And her. And.... [/quote:post_uid0]

Heh heh, wicked! Reminds me of Blackadder and Fawlty Towers humour.

[quote:post_uid0]O'Brien: Keiko, you're cheating on me, aren't you?
Keiko: What? Of course not!
O'Brien: Oh, sure. And next you'll probably deny being a genetically-enhanced Cardassian agent from the Mirror Universe.[/quote:post_uid0]

:D

[quote:post_uid0]Dream Voices: Eyes in the dark… One moon circles…
Troi: Whut?
Dream Voices: Eyes in the dark… One moon circles…
Troi: Whut?
Dream Voices: Eyes in the dark, dammit! EYES in the DARK!
Troi: Whut?
Comatose Betazoid: Eyes in the dark…
Troi: Oh my God! It all makes sense now! Why didn't you say so before?[/quote:post_uid0]

Hilarious,

[quote:post_uid0]Bashir: Time for some sleep.
Jadzia: I'd much rather have a hallucination.
Masked Man: You called?
Jadzia: Who are you, oh hauntingly musical masked man?
Masked Man: Isn't it obvious? I'm the Phantom of the Opera! [/quote:post_uid0]

:D

[quote:post_uid0]Renhol: Maybe the medicine isn't working. Take these, um, super-medicines!
Jadzia: I think I want a second opinion.
Renhol: Okay, you're ugly too.[/quote:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0]Renhol: Scalpel, screwdriver, buzzsaw. Yep, I'm ready to begin surgery.
Sisko: Not so fast, we've figured out the whole thing.
Renhol: Oh no! Not that 50% of the population can be joined and we're going to kill Jadzia to continue to cover up that fact!
Sisko: Um, yes, that too. [/quote:post_uid0]

:D :D

Awesome fivers, guys![/color:post_uid0]
