New fiver today -- Marc Richard's "Genesis (../nextgen/genesis.html)." It's a classic Marc fiver, replete with clever references. Enjoy.

Today's not actually required to be a link day since we have content, but I plan to have content again tomorrow, so here's a quick pair of links before I forget. First, I don't usually take those "What Kind of Animal Are You?" or "What [i:post_uid0]Harry Potter[/i:post_uid0] Book Are You?" or whatever tests, but I figured I really ought to find out what [i:post_uid0]Enterprise[/i:post_uid0] character I am (http://www.red-anubis.com/quizes/entquiz.html). I got Captain Archer... I really have no idea how I feel about that. Second, the most original such test I've run into lately is the Which Class of Federation Starship Are You? (http://quizilla.com/users/SeanT/quizzes/Which%20Class%20of%20Federation%20Starship%20are%2 0you%3F/) test. I got Intrepid-class, which seems fitting.

Also notable is that Penny Arcade (http://penny-arcade.com), without question one of the best webcomics online, is now 5 years old. Which makes [i:post_uid0]me[/i:post_uid0] feel old, because I've been reading it for more than half of that time.[/color:post_uid0]

^ I've taken that one before. I'm still T'Pol. ;) (And no, I'm not surprised. :p)

Guess the [i:post_uid0]Genesis[/i:post_uid0] fiver has been taken down again, so I'll be back.

Z., liked the math ref page (I think NAH linked to that one a while back) -- however, the wolfram.com suggests a hart.com (wonder what would be there?) On another link, the virtual bubble wrap has been an instant hit. :D[/color:post_uid0]

I'm T'Pol. I am male though, so make that Tuvok. They're pretty much the same.

In another test I was Jean Luc Picard/7 of 9. Also pretty much what I expected.[/color:post_uid0]

Looking forward to seeing that fiver!

I came up with Tucker too.

I might have linked to that site here before, I don't know. I'm certainly aware of it through my job, and it does have a lot of great stuff for the mathematically interested or chronically bored. ;)[/color:post_uid0]

Explanation: I just forgot to upload the /nextgen files. They're in place now, as is the News page.

I like that tribble thing in your sig, Nah.[/color:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0]Worf: Both, you insolent and strangely attractive imbecile! And send the food to my quarters, where I can devour it in peace! (leaves)
Troi: There's something very fishy here. I've never seen Worf go ape like that.
Waitress: Neither have I. Anyway, here are the two gallons of water you ordered.
Troi: Yum.

...
La Forge: Reg, slow down! You've only got two hands, not eight!

...
Picard: I see that I'll need to tighten shipboard discipline. I leave for just two days and the pilot's already amusing himself with slow-motion barrel rolls.

...
Data: Possibly. My tricorder is picking up several humanoid hybrid creatures -- primates, sloths, reptilians, insectoids, aquatics....
Picard: But no avians?
Data: None, sir. How did you guess?
Picard: Just a hunch.[/quote:post_uid0]
*snigger*

[quote:post_uid0]Data: (looking in aquarium) So am I. It would have been unfortunate if he had killed Starfleet's only known pet trilobite.

...
Data: I believe it is Mr. Barclay. Fascinating -- he has turned into a spiderman.
Picard: "Amazing" would be a better word.[/quote:post_uid0]
Lots of funny stuff. :D[/color:post_uid0]

Heh heh heh. Plenty of good jokes in that fiver.

What wasn't so funny is I was "Captain Archer" in the test; he's not my favorite Captain. Actually, even worse: I was "Captain Kirk" in another Star Trek test... Â :eyeroll:[/color:post_uid0]

Great fiver, Marc. I especially liked the Amazing Spiderman reference.

As for the poll, I got Phlox. Should I be worried?[/color:post_uid0]

^ Naaah, you'll be fine. ;)

Marc, great fiver. :)
[quote:post_uid0]Data: What are you reading, sir?
Picard: The Island of Doctor Moreau. Scientifically laughable, but still reasonably entertaining.

Sadly, no. Even after knowing there were two references, I couldn't find either. What were they?[/color:post_uid0]

NOOOO! I'm Captain Weenie!

Great fiver by the way Marc, even if some of the jokes were over my head a bit.</font>[/color:post_uid0]

That sums it up nicely. :D

I think everyone else should be worried. Which also goes for me, since I got Reed.[/color:post_uid0]

Yup. I think it's the first time I've used an episode review as a line of dialogue.

[quote:post_uid0]Sadly, no. Even after knowing there were two references, I couldn't find either. What were they?[/quote:post_uid0]

The part about making the racht snappy is a tip of the hat to Melora's comment that there's nothing worse than half-dead racht. And the dialogue cue "Distant Voices" is the title of a DS9 episode.[/color:post_uid0]
