Hey all. Today we've got the first [i:post_uid0]This Just In[/i:post_uid0] of 2004: "Peter Mayhew contracted for fourth [i:post_uid0]Indiana Jones[/i:post_uid0] movie (../thisjustin/39.html)." This is IJD GAF's sophomore article, and a darn good one.

IJD has also suggested that I link to this page (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/cda/html/images/feature/community/contests/031202_animated/detail.jsp) of StarTrek.com. The page itself isn't of interest, it's the note at the bottom: "Would you like to see the Animated Adventures on DVD? Let us know at editor@startrek.com." This sounds like something worth supporting -- according to IJD, Paramount has so far shown no interest in putting TAS on DVD, and fan feedback might encourage them to. If you're interested, drop them a line.

([b:post_uid0]Note:[/b:post_uid0] Sorry about the missing update yesterday; after a long week, I ended up falling asleep at 9 last night and not getting up again.)[/color:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0]"...Now, the fourth Indiana Jones film takes place in the 50s, but since wookies live for hundreds of years, this is not a problem. It will be explained that Chewbacca was my dog's father, and metaphorically, Indiana Jones' father. So essentially Chewbacca is Sean Connery. Quite simple."

This reporter doesn't understand either.

A wicked one; perhaps that's why it's so good, IJD![/color:post_uid0]

It had David Prowse in it! Don't ask why, but that just made my day.

Personally I was hoping that the next Lucas TJI would have something to do with him making armies of clones, but this is pretty darn funny too.[/color:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0]"You see, it's all very simple. Chewbacca helps Han in the Star Wars movies because he reminds him of Indiana Jones, who he befriends because both characters are based on my Alaskan malamute, who was alive during the 70s. Now, the fourth Indiana Jones film takes place in the 50s, but since wookies live for hundreds of years, this is not a problem. It will be explained that Chewbacca was my dog's father, and metaphorically, Indiana Jones' father. So essentially Chewbacca is Sean Connery. Quite simple."[/quote:post_uid0]

Good stuff, IJD.[/color:post_uid0]

Very nice, IJD.[/color:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0]I had a really good reason, though -- today was my honours project presentation. It went really well (about seven of my favourite professors showed up, which was particularly cool) and now the darn thing is behind me once and for all.[/quote:post_uid0]

Awright! Congrats... Yaaaaay Zeke! :D[/color:post_uid0]

Thanks, Standback. My mark is in now, and I got an A for the project as a whole (written part and presentation), so I'm pretty happy with how things turned out. I sure could have [i:post_uid0]got[/i:post_uid0] there less messily, though. Having your own definition of "soon" is not a good thing, especially when it comes to school deadlines....[/color:post_uid0]

Sounds familiar... like my final graduation project in high school. I had months to finish it, but nooo... The night before the deadline. 9 hours straight. Printer making its brutal noises at 2 AM...

Still, I got a 5 - the equivalent of A... Seems like some people perform best under pressure, :D[/color:post_uid0]

Does that [i:post_uid0]have[/i:post_uid0] to be different [i:post_uid0]everywhere you can possibly go[/i:post_uid0]?[/color:post_uid0]

Yeah, those. Here it would be 10, in Germany it's 1...[/color:post_uid0]

In Saskatchewan we use, you know, actual grades like "80" and "90." Â I like it better this way, so it's fortunate that I'll be doing the last of my education here. Â :D

In related news, there are no curse words in any language to describe a -51 windchill. Â (That's... actually pretty much the same in Fahrenheight, once you get down that low.) Â I lost the circulation in my toes just walking from my car into work. Â :crying:[/color:post_uid0]

Heh.. It's not that bad here, but we're still waaaaaaay below normal temperatures. And I have to walk 3 blocks from the parking garage to my school twice a day in it. It sucks man.. really. -_-[/color:post_uid0]
