And here's the new fiver: "The Galileo Seven (../startrek/thegalileoseven.html)," by IJD GAF. This is the latest in what appears to be a concerted effort to wipe out the original series' first season. (Speaking of 5MST, longtime readers will remember that that subsite's birthday is around this time of year. Indeed, it's February 22. Unfortunately, the celebration will be slightly delayed this year, but I guarantee it'll be worth the wait.)

I'm leaving for Waterloo tomorrow morning to check out their grad program, so I'll be out of touch till Sunday afternoon. I've asked Kira to make the next couple of updates; I know she has at least one fiver to entertain you with, so you'll have fun. See you when I get back.[/color:post_uid0]

Strangely enough, IJD, I just watched that episode last night. Nice timing on the fiver.

Great fiver all around. Those eunuchs make is sound like Kirk has a harem.... which I suppose isn't [i:post_uid0]that[/i:post_uid0] out of character.[/color:post_uid0]

My favorite bits were

[quote:post_uid0]Ferris: With all due respect, I believe you simply like the word "quasar".
Kirk: What would give you a quazy notion like that?

...
Captain's Log: Though I have completely burned out all of my taste buds, the reaction of the crewmembers around me indicates that my breath is delightfully minty and fresh.[/quote:post_uid0]

:D[/color:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0]Spock: Spock to Enterprise; our instruments have become unreliable and we must attempt an emergency landing.
Uhura: We're being hailed by the shuttlecraft Galileo, but the signal is very weak. I think Spock is saying that his strumpets are undeniably tempting.[/quote:post_uid0]

Good way to get Kirk's attention![/color:post_uid0]

I've said it before and I'll say it again - yay for TOS fives![/color:post_uid0]

[quote:post_uid0][b:post_uid0]Spock:[/b:post_uid0] I do not understand the actions of these creatures. They are entirely illogical.
[b:post_uid0]Creature:[/b:post_uid0] Duh. (throws spear)

Heh. Another good fiver, IJD.

Nebulanebulanebula ... :D

And liked the blurb, too. (Shuttle is apparently not equipped with a chakotaymeter, either. ;))[/color:post_uid0]

No, that was influenza (I think). I got pneumonia on top of that -- probably thanks to pulling 9 hour days while I was sick and running a fever -- but a good course of antibiotics took care of it. I'm still getting over the backlash from being sick and not eating for so long, but I think I've kicked it for the most part.[/color:post_uid0]

Good to hear. Now you can get back to running yourself into the ground. Why do we do this to ourselves, again?

I`ve just read the fiver... it`s GREAT! Kudos, IJD, all the jokes are hilarious, and Kirk has never been wackier! :D[/color:post_uid0]
