Got you! There's no way you were expecting another Derek fiver the very next day! Here's "Treachery, Faith, and the Great River (../ds9/fiver.php?ep=treacheryfaithandthegreatriver)," which marks Derek's first Season 7 fiver.
Also, remember the "Hotel Faction" mystery? (See July news entries.) This image (http://www.deviantart.com/view/7888419/) at Nan's DeviantArt page will at last reveal the true meaning....

Odo: How do I distinguish between you?
Weyoun: Well, the Weyoun that's over the comm is the evil one.
Weyoun: (over the comm) That doesn't work. All we need to do is shift perspectives --
Weyoun: -- and now you're over the comm.
Weyoun: (over the comm) Aah! I am over the comm!
Odo: (over the comm) This really isn't making any sense. How about I call you Weyoun-7 and the one sitting next to me Weyoun-6.
Weyoun-7: Spoilsport.
Fmal Shapshiftr: I just wanted to stop by and say that I am definitely not sick.
Damar: Then why are all the Es gone from your name?
Female Shapeshifter: Whoops. Um, that was just a test. Yeah, heh heh. And you pass. Good job.
Heh. Now there's a full-strength Derek fiver. :D

But funny. ;) Nice piece, too -- you had an early version of that up a while ago, didn't you?

O'Brien: Crap. How am I going to get parts for a clock... in space... at this hour.
Odo: Wait, two Weyouns? Was there some sort of transporter accident?
Weyoun: (over the comm) Yes, and the Weyoun you have with you is the Thomas Riker Weyoun.
Weyoun-6: Did I ever tell you how we Vorta were created? We used to be Elves until the Dark Lord --
Odo: You mean the Founders.
Weyoun-6: Right. Until the Founders turned us into Orcs.
Odo: You mean Vortas.
Weyoun-6: Look, who's telling this story?
 Must...stop...laughing...coz I'm...at work! Nope. Can't do it.
Haaaaaaaaahahahaha
And, the hotel faction thing? Ooooooooooh, LMAO! It all makes sense

Okay, before I read the fiver, I have something to say.
GASP!
I was *this* close to emailing Derek yesterday, or the day before, to ask him if "Treachery, Faith and the Great River" was available for fiving. I`ve been thinking about fiving "Treachery, Faith and the Great River" for several weeks. And... and... GASP! :D

Uhhh... possibly. I forget. (Support the hotel faction! Hell, join the hotel faction.)
(The Falleen one is probably my best work thus far.)

Bwahahahahahaha!
Weyoun-6: Well, um, er, dang it!
Ah, Weyoun... So famous for his eloquence!
Fmal Shapshiftr:
*more howling*
Weyoun-6: Um, no. Please give me your blessing before die.
Odo: Well, I don't know if I'd feel comfortable --
Weyoun-6: AH-CHOO!
Odo: Bless you.
Weyoun-6: Oh, thank you, Founder! GAK!
*falls off the chair, chokes* :D
Derek, you are a crazy person. :P I believe this is your wackiest fiver since "Allegiance". (See how I remember Derek`s fivers - us Vortas have superior memory - that`s because Dark Lord had bestowed it upon us   )

Sorry, but I've had that fiver written for quite some time, so you wouldn't have had anyway.
And finally I have a Season 7 fiver! Sadly it took me over a year of being section head before that could happen.

Odo: I expect everything's a trap. That's why I'm still alive.
Heehee.

Weyoun-7: (over the comm) Cool. The Jem'Hadar were having more fun firing at the remains of what must have been, like, the biggest comet
ever anyway.
:D Funny stuff, Derek!

Very funny stuff, Derek. I'd quote, but everyone else has got all the ones I'd go for.

Nurse: Doctor, come quick! Something's wrong with Bareil's brain!
Bashir: His brain? What is it?
Nurse: It's the organ in his head that helps him think. But that's not important right now.
AIRPLANE! Always good, and works v. well here!

Weyoun-6: Yes. Soon it will just be you. You will be the One.
Odo: What are you saying, that I can influence others in the Great Link?
Weyoun-6: No, I'm saying that when they die, you won't have to.

Nog: I'm remaking "Progress".
O'Brien: Don't you mean you're making progress?
Nog: Well, that too
Weyoun-6: Did I ever tell you how we Vorta were created? We used to be Elves until the Dark Lord --
Odo: You mean the Founders.
