View Full Version : January 11
Hmm... it seems I have an even-numbered-day curse to break. Anyway, as promised, here's Derek's last remaining unpublished Smallville fiver: "Sacred (../smallville/fiver.php?ep=sacred)." Smallville is returning shortly with new episodes, for which Derek's fivers will finally start being published on time. (Honest!) By the way, the show is also about to hit a milestone: its 100th episode. That's an achievement worthy of respect for any show, especially in this genre. Congrats to cast, crew, and Krypto.

Poor Raffi. He's been writing kids songs for longer than I've been alive, and his most memorable legacy is an Internet meme.

Poor Raffi. He's been writing kids songs for longer than I've been alive, and his most memorable legacy is an Internet meme.I'd never really been aware of him before the rash of "Bananaphone" animations two or three years ago. I had to Google him to find that out. After my time, perhaps? I don't remember when he started out.
Edit: Yeah, looks like his first album of songs came out in 1976, by which time I was taking my first year of community college. Seems to have done all kinds of good things besides writing songs, though.
I'm pretty certain it was - wasn't it linked to in a news post? That's what I remembered -- just can't always trust that.

I had one of his records growing up. One of the songs involves an elephant sitting on people.
