Lenore: What a lovely evening for a walk! The sun is shining, the corpses are bleeding...
The "evening"/"sun is shining" is actually funnier than the sudden appearance of corpses... 8)

Spock: He was head of the Tarsus colony, and when food ran out, he executed the 4000 colonists he considered of least value. He must have used an unusual metric, since one of the victims was one of Starfleet's leading ling--
Excellent tie-in, "Trials and Tribble-ations"-style!

Kirk: Logic isn't enough, Spock! I have to feel it -- it has to have truthiness!
*snicker*

Lenore: Father! NO! Oh, proud death! What feast is toward thy....
(13 hours later)
Lenore: ...Go, bid the soldiers shoot. (collapses)
Kirk: Wow. I've never seen the entire text of Hamlet squealed so eloquently.
We used to make jokes about that in class -- how it always took eight pages of "Oh I am dying" and "I am slain!" for the person to finish kicking off.

Adam: Lalalala!
Mavig: Lalalalalalalala! C'mon, join us Spock!
Spock: "La".

Zeke: No, no, no, no! Look, we've had Genghis Khan, Madeleine Khan, the Aga Khan, Chaka Khan, James Caan, ComiCon, an ex-con... we're running out of patience, and Sa'ar's building up an immunity to chloroform.
hee hee hee

Khan: (sigh) If there is one thing I cannot stand, it is a pouting Klingon.
Do they make targy eyes?

(The narrative will skip over the tedious details of inching the chairs over to a convenient metal shelving unit, slicing through ropes and wrists, restraining up Khan and the guard and emptying their pockets.)
Could've been a cool montage set to appropriate '80's music...

Spock: (over the comm) Why? He's doing important work for the Initiative.
Kirk: Pfft, those guys wouldn't know him from Adam anyway.
Heh.

Spock: He was head of the Tarsus colony, and when food ran out, he executed the 4000 colonists he considered of least value. He must have used an unusual metric, since one of the victims was one of Starfleet's leading ling--
Lingerie designers? Things you never knew about Hoshi.

Nice fiver, Zeke.

Sulu: There's no one here.
Scott: Strange. I hope the hhrblshven didn't get them.
Heh.

McCoy: Eleen's going into labor.
Kirk: Good luck with that. Spock, come help me, um --
Spock: Make spectacularly unconvincing bows and arrows?
Kirk: Sure, anything.
As long as it's useful. Or could be construed as being useful.

Nice fiver, Scooter.

Sulu: The ships engines are overtaxed! Without representation!
Unfair!

Chekov: Sorry. I didn't recognize you with so few clothes on.
Irini: Let us reminisce upon our past!
Chekov: I'd much rather use a frown to indicate disapproval, as I have been given no dialogue adequate for such a purpose.
Irini: Does it have to do with our lack of respect for authority, our lack of attire, or our goofy, embarrassing songs?
Chekov: Yes.
Heh.

Nice fiver, IJD.

And good panel, Sa'ar.

The "evening"/"sun is shining" is actually funnier than the sudden appearance of corpses...

I'm assuming that's straight from Hamlet, actually. There's a scene that opens at midnight and concludes a few minutes later at dawn.

More comments later through the magic of the Edit function.

Well, I liked the explanation of the traditional "IJD, hammer" line, and the long progression of Khans.

Plus a little of the "Taming of the Shrew" argument about the sun or the moon in the sky, IIRC.

I'm not in a position to update the news page right now, but I have a minute to post here. The second half of the 5MST event will be delayed briefly due to problems on my end. I'll elaborate tomorrow and give an ETA for updates resuming (it'll be no later than Monday).

As you'll have guessed, the last three days of the 5MST event are being held up a bit. There have been problems on my end and IJD GAF's, and the two of us are responsible for most of the remaining content. As a result, Day 5 unfortunately can't be any sooner than Monday (when I get back to Waterloo). I'll do my best to make that estimate exact. In the meantime, I'll see if I can find a couple of small updates to make.
