Okay, show of hands; who hates the song "Where my heart will take me"?

*nothing*

Hello?

*still nothing*

Um... The opening theme for Enterprise

*cricket chirping*

"Faith of the Heart"?

*many hands raised*

That's what I thought, anyways... put your hands down!

*hands go down, except one, which is shot by Janeway*

Thank you, now... In a moment of pure insanity I decided to download the song, (actually, I LIKE the song, but I'm more insane then the rest of you*) and listened to the whole song; and it was actually pretty good. Seriously. I'm not kidding! The opening credits was a fluke! Bad luck! An Unfortunate event!

Don't believe me? Then download the song for yourself, heck, if you ask nicely, I'll e-mail it to you!

You don't even have to like the song, just listen to the entire thing, and make judgements, (this goes for you too, evay!)

*Yes, I am more insane! For a World studies project I had to make up a Country with all of the details, uncluding a national anthem, and I used the DS9 theme!

That's not a 'you're not gonna believe this' for me. I like the song. Yes, even on the opening credits. I've had it for a while now.

*holds up mp3 player* See?

It's even on my favorites list in iTunes. So. I guess I'm crazy too, since I like the opening theme itself.

I like it, at least the credits version. The longer one is kinda wierd. Make this a poll!

I had an initial bad reaction to the credits version of the song, like many people, but I grew to like it by "The Andorian Incident."

I don't think I've ever heard the full version.

I've had the full version of it on my playlist for a couple of years now :)

I did download the whole song after hearing it on someone's profile on Myspace. In my opinion it's not as good as the Rod Stewart version (man, that guy can sing!) but it's not as bad as some people make it out. I think the credits focused too much on one specific spiel; although I liked the part where you see The Pheonix launched, followed by the Enterprise. ^^.

I've had it for a while, actually. It is a good song, but its currently buried somewhere in the depths of my hard drive....

So, currently nobody has said they hated it, right?

So, currently nobody has said they hated it, right?

Yup. So in the eyes of most Star Trek fans, I guess that makes us freaks.

...Woohoo!

I've always liked it. And I like the full version. And I like the whole rest of the Russell Watson album. AND he's very cute

I liked it from the very first time I heard it on Enterprise-which happened to be the pilot episode!

Didn't they revamp it in season three or four, though?

Having now listened to the Rod Stewart version, I massively prefer Russell Watson.

Maybe it's because I can't stand Rod Stewart's voice on this one.

I don't believe you. You're making it up. You're err...Under the influence of a Pah Wraith!

I love the theme. I even loved it after the instrumentation change of Season 3. Not only is it an endless fount of joke fodder, but it fits the optimism of Trek perfectly. I suspect Gene Roddenberry would have liked it.

One of the best characterization moments in T Campbell's webcomic Fans! is the scene where Rikk and Will are watching the ENT theme. Rikk loves it, Will hates it -- and that's their personalities in a nutshell. Rikk is the idealist, never giving up his faith in the things that are important to him. Will believes in many of the same things, but he's a realist and often a cynic. "Faith of the Heart" was the perfect vehicle to illustrate that. Great bit.

Truer Words were never spoken.

But now I feel depressed because I never got the chance to read Fans!... oh well, can't actually DO anything about it, since I apperently need a subscription to read them.

So I'll stick with Ctrl Alt Del Premium and MyComicsPage

Also, I've loved the song since the start. I've actually heard the song BEFORE Enterprise aired.

however, over on TwoP, there's a diferent sort of thinking...
