5m.Net Song

(sung to "Paint it black")

I see a series and I want it to be fived
No hour anymore, I want it to be fived
I see the Treks go by, babes by the bucketload
But what I really want are more Chakotay jokes...

I see a line of Treks that haven't been much fun
5M.net came along, now it's my Number One
Firefly was far too short, but still too long for us
And we'll five Matrix 'cause that was hilarious

I look inside the forums and see my thread got long
With jokes 'bout Top Hat Man, where did this thing go wrong?
Battlestar Galactica is far too serious
But Starbuck is a gal, I'd say that is a plus

No more will Smallville seem like anything but cheese
And Enterprise, at last, that put my mind at ease
If I look hard enough and refresh every day
Ol' Zeke will post some news and take my pain away

I wanna see my movie fived, movie fived
Fived as Trek, Fived as Who
I wanna see OC, five it all through the night
I wanna see my movie, movie, movie, movie fived
Yeah!

---

Have fun.

This may be an error in judgment.

Nice lines, though I have to confess to being unfamiliar with the song.

You'd know it if you heard it, I think. Vaguely Eastern in tone, got a sitar in it, and starts off with a few seconds of John Cage-style prepared piano (which, in this case, sounds like someone left the silverware on top of the piano strings.)

And yes, good lines (does that count as filk?)

I can't say I know the song off-hand either, but nice effort all the same.

I'd say it's a filk. Because I like that word.
