[color=#000000:post_uid0]The last Remembrance Day ceremony I went to I had the pleasure of spending over an hour with a WWII veteran. It was cool.
He talked about being in France, and pointed out the name of a V.C. awardee on the town memorial. Charles Hoey. Had a school named after him in town. My school is currently located in that building. (The Victoria Cross, pictured here, is the highest award for valour in battle awarded to British/Commonwealth forces.) Didn't see him this year. Never caught his name. I wonder where he is...[/color:post_uid0] |
