ENT 4x17: "Bound"
 

Why haven't I been doing episode threads this season? They're a good thing to have here, fueling discussion and whatnot. Time to start them up again.

On deck tonight: Manny Coto's "Bound." I think the episode will accomplish two things that he didn't intend, but that I'm quite pleased about. It'll remind Trekdom that TOS wasn't perfect... and that Manny Coto isn't either. :mrgreen:

::facepalms:: I don't know what to think about this episode. While I was watching it, I laughed at all the corneyness. But.. thinking back on it. Boy was it dumb. Sigh, I don't know if I have high hopes or not for the rest of the season.

*stares at epsiode*

Oh, great, they're bringing back that 'Vulcan physiology' thing. Although I liked Trip shooting Archer, it didn't make sense.

Wonder how long it is before someone (my bet's on Malcolm) starts using the phrase 'green-blooded' around T'Pol. Or maybe Archer? Hey, they gotta kill someone off, otherwise the ending won't make sense...and maybe the surprise is that T'Pol gains her emotions instead of playing around and poisons Archer's chili?

Archer: Well, we made it to the last episode and everyone's alive...I'm so proud of you guys.
T'Pol: I'm sure the crew thanks you as well. Here, have some chili.
Archer: DOn't mind if I do...hey, this is pretty good. What's in it?
T'Pol: Vulcan arsenic.
Archer: GAK!
Trip: Hey, T'Pol, mind lending me some of that stuff? I was just reviewing the season 1 logs and I remembered what made me so mad Iw anted to kill Phlox...

...or something like that.

They killed Porthos? What? All I saw was a bunch of green women...then I turned away...then turned back for some T'pol/Trip shipping (I luv shipping, no matter how corny or cheesy)...then turned away...then turned back for the climatic bridge scene, and a T'Pol/Trip kiss.

How can Porthos be dead? :(

Porthos isn't dead. I think Celeste was just referring to the chili in Maverick's post.

Although, as my dad said when he saw the eppy, "Green mind-controlling women? They've been having that since TOS, and even back then it was cheesy!"
