Oh oh! I'm an astrology/Astronomy freak, and there is a Lunar eclipse tonight for the North Americans. (Even though my boyfriend says you'll be able to see it in Europe as well, I know it's definatly for Americans and Canadians.) The light will be reflecting off all the sunsets happening in the world, and the Moon shall turn a deep blood red. So get out your klingon makeup, and keep your eye out. :)
Full eclipse will be around 11:50pm EST. (at least for New England.)[/color:post_uid0] |
Hopefully I will be out of the movie by then, lol[/color:post_uid0]
|
An eclipse you say? Well, that means we're in for a cloudy night tonight then.[/color:post_uid0]

And never the twain shall meet. [quote:post_uid0]light will be reflecting off all the sunsets happening in the world[/quote:post_uid0] Run that by me again?[/color:post_uid0] |
Bah, Don't you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth! The light is refracting off the atmosphere! Turns moon red! All happy! My dog is attacking me! AHH!![/color:post_uid0]

  Poor Celeste. Everyone's giving her a hard time...[/color:post_uid0] |

Didn't we just refer to her as the voice of reason here in another thread? ;) And, yes, poor Cele.[/color:post_uid0] |
[quote:post_uid0]And, yes, poor Cele.[/quote:post_uid0]
If she's an astronomy buff, would she be Celestial Celeste?[/color:post_uid0] |
Yep, Celestial had part of the reason why I chose the name Celeste :D[/color:post_uid0]

The fact that Celeste very nearly rhymes with dentist didn't hurt either, I'm sure. ;)[/color:post_uid0] |

Well, that was a bust.
"Send in the Clouds." Stupid weather gods.[/color:post_uid0] |
AGGHH!
Clouds again! Missed the Leonids, a bunch of minor showers, and now a lunar eclipse. Dammit.[/color:post_uid0] |
Actually, it was the mountains that blocked my view.
Stupid topography. I missed the Leonids because I was working...at 2:00 in the morning. Stupid night shift. I tried to have a look during my break, but I was standing under a street lamp. Stupid light pollution. "Much anger has he."[/color:post_uid0] |
*as Nelson* "HA ha"
I got to see the second half, as the moon rose above the clouds, and said "nah nah" to them! So what if it was with my dad, who dragged me onto private property kicking and screaming with my big-ass camera. It was cool. There will probably be pics on exn.ca or on your local news.[/color:post_uid0] |
Well, I saw the first half, and as soon as the moon hit totality and started turning red, Huge clouds came in an totaly blocked out the moon. Sigh. At least I saw part.[/color:post_uid0]
|
I didn't see it turn red. There was hit-and-missing cloudiness though, so that might have had something to do with it.[/color:post_uid0]
|
I told ya so.
*ducks to avoid rotten fruit being thrown by other forumgoers* What? Did I say something?[/color:post_uid0] |
Must.... KILL!
;)[/color:post_uid0] |
It's probably a good thing I always keep my kevlar jacket handy.[/color:post_uid0]
