I just fiver'd Pitch Black. I sent it to Zeke (twice) but I was wondering if I was allowed to post it here, for... I dunno.... shits and giggled? Criticism? Target practice? A lovely wall hanging?

Not while it's still an official submission. When fivers are posted at the forum, it's because for one reason or another they can't go on the site. I have your fiver and I'll deal with it when I can, but you'll have to wait like everyone else -- appealing to the community will only annoy me.

I'd listen if I were you. I don't want to sound like an inspirational speaker, but Zeke's death ray has blasted me once or twice, and it's not an experience I'd recommend to anyone else.

I didn't know you had it... you did not respond when I sent it, to say something like "Cool, it got through this time", so I didn't know I was waiting like everyone else. So I figured I'd post it here, not knowing the rules for posting official submissions.

But now I do. I officially submit. I'll shut up. I'll be in the corner...

With submissions to Zeke, patience is the key. Excessive patience, as a matter of fact, the sort that Buddhist monks cultivate (only you don't have to stop killing stuff, obviously).

Yeah, killing stuff on the side really helps pass the time.

Until you've waited over a year for a fiver to be published after it's been finalized, you have nothing to talk about. Granted, the fiver had been lost in the power vacuum of Marc leaving, but still...

When we're talking weeks, everybody would be better served by sitting tight and humming a mantra.
