June 25: Five-Minute "GROPOS" (XAW, Day 2)

Welcome back for Day 2 of XAW! ...Yes, that's my abbreviation for Tenth Anniversary Week. No, I'm not changing it.

Today we have the first of several triumphant returns. Sa'ar Chasm is back with reinforcements -- a whole division of 'em. Here's <b>Five-Minute "<a href="../b5/fiver.php?ep=gropos">GROPOS</a>"</b>, the tenth episode of <i>Babylon 5</i>'s second season. Be sure to stay after the credits for this one!

(And yes, that's the 5MD episode graphic at the top of the page. I've subbed it in partly because it would make JMS pop a vein, but mostly because I discovered that not only is the 5MB5 graphic missing, it apparently <i>always has been</i>. There's no sign of it in my old copies of the site. Strange.)

Be here tomorrow for round three!

I just have to applaud the <i>Modern Major-General</i> parody at the end. It's <i>incredibly</i> hard to get all those syllables and the meter right. Damn fine job.

There's life! I had thought this site was dead and buried...

*breaks down sobbing*

Well, it's a nice thing to find in my inbox post-Doctor Who Finale. You may not have the Doctor's high-ish production values, but you're every bit as insane!

BttF references are always appreciated.

The Modern Major General is truly awesome, Sa'ar. Good work.

Ivanova: I love the night shift. No crises, no work... it's slackeriffic. All I need is a quiet diversion to occupy me until morning.
Corwin: Commander, the 356th Infantry Division is coming through the jumpgate.
Ivanova: I said diversion, not division.
Diversion, division, what's the diverence -- ahem, difference?

Nice job, Sa'ar (though I may have said that already).

I award it 1.21 out of 1.21 jiggawatts!

I thought the lyrics at the end were brilliant, too, but I thought the food jokes were truly scrumptious!

While this is a proper rhyme, unlike Tom Lehrer's "Harvard/discovered" pairing, something about this couplet made me think of that bit from "The Elements" anyway. Nice work on the whole thing, Sa'ar. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...s/thumbsup.gif

Ouch.

Very amusing, all told. :)
