New Dr Who Companion

For those who haven't heard:

* BBC announcement
* Outpost Gallifrey report

At least we already got to see the actor in "Army of Ghosts", so she's not a complete mystery. Interestingly enough, Martha is not supposed to debut until the first ep of season 3, which I guess will therefore probably be a character intro ep like "Rose".

So the 2006 Christmas special (which they've already started filming) will feature a "guest" companion, possibly introduced in today's episode. I guess we'll know in a few hours.

It's gonna be a long wait until Christmas and next spring.

So just what the heck is DT wearing, anyway? What, is he dressed up for a vacation on Risa?

danieldoof 07-08-2006 08:10 AM

What an appalling thought.

PointyHairedJedi 07-10-2006 09:53 AM

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

We'll see.

Grayvorn 10-24-2006 10:30 PM

I would just love to see the Doctor wear that shirt, the Daleks would be pissing themselves.

My first post here btw, great to finally join the Fiveminute.net forums!

This is Russell T. Davies' Zygma Experiments. The only thing that'll be rejected is something that's actually good.

Burt 10-24-2006 10:44 PM

Hey there Grayvorn! Hows things? Don't worry about the Chancellor. When it comes to RTD he seems to have a 'to the death' thing going. Best avoid mentioning 'Love and monsters' too.... Oh Crap......

uuummmmm
uuuummmmm

MACBETH!

MACBETH!

Appropriate choice of words ;)

re: RTD, nahh...I'll give it up when he produces something that isn't a waste of 45 minutes of my life.

Grayvorn 10-25-2006 11:00 PM

For me, everything RTD has delivered has been immensely entertaining, only 'The Long Game' was a bit dodgy.

MaverickZer0 10-26-2006 10:24 PM

Yay, new people!

I'm starting to wonder if David Tennant has been borrowing ideas from Connor Trineer, or if it's just sci-fi policy for actors of offbeat characters to wear amazingly loud shirts.

Katy Jane 10-30-2006 11:58 PM

I became rather fond of Rose in the three or so episodes i've managed to see now. :(

Zeke 10-31-2006 01:06 AM

Whoops, didn't notice the new member. Welcome, Grayvorn!

Valium: Is an episode really a waste of 45 minutes of your life if you then go on to spend much more than 45 minutes talking about it?

whoiam 10-31-2006 03:01 AM

Zeke: Nope. 'Cause that way, you've gotten a net waste of more then 90 minutes or less then 0, depending on whether you consider the talk to be a waste, too. Either way, it isn't 45.

MaverickZer0 10-31-2006 03:23 AM

Of course not. It's 47. Or 42, depending on which you prefer.

PointyHairedJedi 10-31-2006 05:13 PM

Welcome, new member! You know, this means fresh organs for us all. It's been a while since we had any of those to sell.

I call dibs on the Human Horn!

whoiam 10-31-2006 06:25 PM

You want their *nose*? *sighs* you're as bad as the Omicronians...

PointyHairedJedi 11-01-2006 03:29 PM

Those guys will pay top dollar for that sort of thing, you know.

catalina_marina 11-01-2006 04:00 PM

I've had to explain 47 way too often, lately. :(

Nate the Great 11-02-2006 12:13 PM

I've found the simplest way to explain 47 is to say that "it's the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything, adjusted for inflation." Yeah, it's a direct ripoff of a Sev Trek punchline, but I find it more satisfying and concise than "several Trek creators are Pomona University graduates, and 47 is an in-joke."
