April 9 (Scenes From the Easter Egg Hunt at 5MV)

I didn't really have time to write this, but I feel that I've earned an update. You wouldn't believe the couple of weeks I've had. It's one hit after another until you just wish Flanders was dead.

So here's a little something seasonal -- at least it was supposed to be little. It sorta grew. Until there were 14 segments. Including a really big one. Look, the point is, here's Scenes From the Easter Egg Hunt at FiveMinute.net.
(Note: There is actually not an Easter egg in this one, so don't bother looking. I couldn't think of anything. Maybe next time.) |
Naturally, the Zelda one is the longest. *znerk*

That was awesome, Zeke.

And Smallville suddenly got a lot more interesting. And Zelda was just plain awesome. Only one quote not from LoZ 1, but somehow I suspected "I am error" might be showing up. |

I loved the Enterprise one, too. Nice job throughout. :) |
I almost wonder why you didn't sneak a zombie in there...:)
Crichton: Wow! There are eggs everywhere in here! Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head! The Lion King isn't used NEARLY enough as joke fodder around here... Old Man: Master using it and you can have this. Link: How can I master using it if I don't have it? Old Man: It's a secret to everybody. I have to admit that Zelda is quickly reaching the point where there's a quote for everything, just like The Princess Bride and Star Trek. Zelda: A chocolate egg! That's so sweet! Link: Well excuuuuuse me, princ-- wait, you liked it. Never mind. Oh, another viewer of the old Zelda cartoon. There's a context shift. DISCLAIMER: This story steps on the lawns of just about everybody. Know what? I'm not sorry. I'd do it again. If only I was that confident. Good show. |
That was pure Cadbury (tm) awesome.
I particularly liked the one about the Easter Egg. |

Oops! I just realized one of the scenes I wrote is missing. I've added it now -- it's the second last on the page. (The scenes are only loosely ordered, by the way.)
On a related note, Katy Jane pointed out to me that most of the Tenth Doctor fivers were missing. This was an accidental result of my thorough spring cleaning of the site a while back. I've restored them now -- let me know if anything else is AWOL. [EDIT: Katy Jane's pointed out that the other fivers from the anniversary event are missing. I'll restore them when I get home.] Quote:
Have you noticed the disclaimer I use for Zelda fivers, by the way? |

Well, "noticed" and "remembered" are really two different things.
|
Nice, Zeke. Topical, and full of angst. ;)

*Ahem* No it isn't no it isn't no it isn't shut up An alternate Doctor Who scene is called for before Valium's head explodes. Again, I mean. Quote:

It could be a legion, for it is many... |
I did have an idea of writing a scene where the Doctor and some other companion go hunting across time and space for pieces of an egg made of perspex or something, but then dismissed it as being simply too silly.
|
:D
|
Zeke, i hate to be a pain, but the doctor who fivers are still screwed up... ;)

I know from harsh experience that day-to-day, nuts and bolts stuff should really be send via e-mail, or else The Big Z will smite you.
