Well, now he plugged a USB hub into a cellphone so he can use the keyboard to play an old DOS game from a floppy disk, using DOSBox within Android!


Because the virtual controls of a touchscreen stink when trying to play a game that's meant to use a keyboard.

Adam Savage meets a bunch of Totoro cosplayers at Comic-Con.


It's interesting how many ways there are to make a Totoro costume...


And apparently the collective noun for Totoros is "cuddle." ;)

Before electronic calculators were commonplace, if you needed a handheld calculation machine for multiplication, etc. you used a Curta.

And last year Adam Savage bought a 3D printed replica, but at 3X size.

The Zelda speedrunners are still chainsawing OOT apart, trying to find every possible way to hack the game and save a couple seconds here and there.

Now 100% is possible in under four hours. I remember when just plain finishing the game in under five hours was considered a big deal.

If you count last May as "recently", that is. All they did was update their privacy policy for GDPR (which is a new General Data Protection Regulation for the European Union), but it's something. At least the creators still visit the site from time to time.
