[color=#000000  ost_uid0]In terms of smallness most of the Western Isles is comprised of very small villages. In Achmor where I lived for a while (and where my dad still does) the population can't have been more than 60 or 70 people. Of course most of the villages run into each other (they tend to be strung along the roads), it's kind of difficult to quantify the population sometimes. There can't be more than 20000 people in the whole of the Western Isles - about half of that is actually concentrated in Stornoway.[/color  ost_uid0]
