[color=#000000ost_uid0]I switched to relative image sizes the first time I redesigned 5MV, when I was on a real browser-independence kick. I still think that's an important factor, but what became increasingly clear to me over the years is that resized images [iost_uid0]suck[/iost_uid0]. The loss in quality is huge. That's why I'm phasing out the relative sizing: the front page now lets the images take their natural sizes, and under the new PHP system I'll be doing the same with our other pages.[/colorost_uid0]
