ost_uid0]Well, my gut reaction is FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, YES! but there's a catch: if you slept through Fellowship, yawned through Two Towers, or never saw either, then you'll probably watch Return of the King and wonder what the heck the fuss is about. Would you watch The Empire Strikes Back without watching either Star Wars or Return of the Jedi? Well, you could, but it wouldn't make a lot of sense - it's designed to work better as a whole, and LotR is even more so than SW. If you're willing to put the time in to get the whole trilogy from start to finish, it will have been well worth the effort I promise you.
