Okay, I'll try this one last time. There are certain statements that do not need personal verification to be true. For example, we can all agree that walking around wearing sausages around our necks to a marathon is a stupid idea, right? This is empirical fact. I can go to a marathon wearing sausages around my neck and say that people shouldn't wear sausages around their neck to a marathon, and it's still true. People shouldn't wear sausages around their neck to a marathon. Period. Whether or not I do so is entirely beside the point. It's still a fact. My hypocracy is a secondary issue. Along similar lines, statements like "you shouldn't insult people," "you should say please and thank you," "you should fling spit-wads at Zeke every day he doesn't post a fiver (just returning the favor, Z )" and so on are empirical facts.
