I think maybe they're trying a little hard to make sure the show has some child-friendly elements (wheelie-bins that swallow people, farting, etc.), but DW has always had a little of that kind of thing anyway.
It does seem to me that many want this show to be totally
perfect, for every single episode to be flawless, which is rather silly when you look back over the history of the show and consider that while
Who can be truly fantastic at times, it can also be utterly dreadful. It would be nice if some would remember that.
