ost_uid0]I just read that Disney is planning to use some former Star Trek actors in Dubbing Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, a Miyazaki film. My main complaint is, why the dubbing? In my experience the dubbing of anime in English is always terrible. For evidence look at Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Cowboy Bebop Movie and the series Inuyasha. All the voices are monotone and sound exactly the same.
Also, the dubbing of live-action films always seems terrible too. I like to watch foriegn films and whenever they are dubbed to English it makes me cringe, it's so bad.
Anyone agree/disagree? Or am I just picky for preferring subtitles?[/color
