2001, he helped Walter Conkrite broadcast the Apollo 11 landing, he designed the first proper color monitor -- just read the thread. Amazing Thing: The Death Star trench run was basically an accident. The model for the Death Star developed a depression, and rather than spend a lot of time patching it up, Cantwell convinced Lucas it should have a trench.
