Mine is because I reading about opium fields in China, was eating a poppyseed muffin, and had just seen Wizard of Oz's poppy field scene on TV. And I'm a theatre freak.

Opium's name is the result of a bizarre coincidence!
I'm pretty sure now that the name "Chancellor Valium" is from when I was trying to think up a parody of Episode I, and, inexplicably, was doing it in powerpoint. don't ask.
