But why "Heroes," I wonder? Anakin's well beyond the brink at that point.

Probably because Ankian is a hero still, if only for the wrong side. Plus, even then there was a bit of hope left for him.

Plus, the fans are still hoping that he'd come back..

There's a lot of factors involved, plus the most obvious of all...
