[color=#000000ost_uid0]Me too. Although I might be late...

The point is, you're never here when anybody else is. [/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Time-zones.

I mean if someone would be 16.5 hours ahead, they would actually be 7.5 hours behind.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Well, thinking about it, if you were halfway arcross a timezone, then technically you could add .5 when talking about har far ahead or behind you are compared to someone else.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]That would be between two timezones, not halfway. If you're halfway, you're in the middle of that timezone.

I wasn't talking about the .5 but about the 16. Since Greenwich is the [iost_uid0]international[/iost_uid0]...
Ohh nevermind [/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Some time zones are half an hour out of sync with the rest...Newfoundland, for example, or the centre slice of Australia (where Arzosah lives).

When you're 8 hours behind GMT, 16.5 hours is only a little more than halfway around the planet, rather than seven hours into yesterday, or however it works out.

I hate temporal mechanics.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Newfoundland is that fair-sized island east of Quebec that, with Nova Scotia, PEI and the mainland, defines the Gulf of St. Lawrence. (The province of Newfoundland also includes Labrador, on the mainland, but that part isn't exactly populous.) Newfies are ... well, you get it.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Newfie jokes are the Polish jokes of the New World.

The name of the province was recently changed to "Newfoundland & Labrador" in an effort to appease the half-dozen or so mainland Newfoundlanders who felt slighted, or something. Now they can proudly say that they live in "And Labrador".[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]I like to hear the different insults and jokes people come up with for us Aussies.
But i don't know where they get 'G'day' because i've never heard anyone say that without it being on purpose. It's not a common greeting.[/colorost_uid0]
