Plenty of people on YouTube tackle the question of how accurate costumes in fiction are (I especially refer you to Glamour's playlist of fashion historian fact checks and Bernadette Banner), but this one is different.

What would Ariel's "sail dress" really have looked like?

Trailer for the newest Sailor Moon movie.

While I'm glad that they've gone away from the overly stretched Sailor Moon Crystal art style, the voice acting is just awful.

Time for some Sailor Moon covers!

Techno dance remix!
Sega Genesis remix

If Sailor Moon was in Smash Bros., this would be her theme
8-bit remix, some definite Nintendo vibes here
This 8-bit remix sounds a bit more arcadey

Making a tiny DeLorean out of lighter parts.

Ugly shade of yellow, but impressive craftmanship for this scale.

Norman Lloyd (Professor Galen) died at age 106.

Going through his IMDB I was surprised to see that he was also on another show that I really liked: Seven Days. I never made the connection.

Using Punnet Squares to figure out Ash's dad.

I never knew there was a theory that Bruno was his dad, and I never heard of this Silver guy (not a shock, as I bailed from the anime when the voice actors changed).

I was ready to call shenanigans on not mentioning Giovanni, but then he does.

NerdSync discusses the '60s Captain America cartoon. What surprised me was the LegalEagle cameo.

As a child I had a domino phase, and while I don't do that sort of thing anymore I still like to watch videos from time to time like this one. Setting up 32,000 dominoes doesn't sound like fun, and the law of diminishing returns would be in my mind the whole time.

Perhaps you've seen Pogo's Data/Picard song...

Well, someone deepfaked Stewart and Spiner's faces onto it. It's a little unsettling.

Deepfakes are things that require a lot of attention to detail, lest it send you into the Uncanny Valley. For example, this one putting Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland into Back to the Future is done way better.

Star Trek The First Generation is more middle of the road.

Putting Lynda Carter over Gal Godot is okay. Conversely, putting Gal Gadot over Lynda Carter is a little creepy.

Tom Cruise as Iron Man tried a bit too much. By trying to replace RDJ's voice with a Tom Cruise soundalike they introduced the audio version of Uncanny Valley.

How the world's most complicated language works.

There is such a thing as trying to cram too much meaning into a word.

The very name "ithkuil" is a headache. And again I have to ask: why are pronounciations given using a notation that only linguists know? What is "/iθˈku.ɪl/" supposed to mean to me? "ith-coo-yil" is something anyone can understand, so why isn't it used?

After three years of building the Marble Machine X is ready for calibration tests.

Just in case you forgot what the original Marble Machine looks like...

It's amazing to see how rough the original machine looks in comparison.

A translator found his floppies from when he worked on Earthbound, and the data adds some details to the world, such as people's names and bits that got cut or changed in the final release.

So I'd never heard about this Kino's Storytime show that aired on PBS before. It aird from 1992-1998, so I was ten when it started, but I was still watching Square One and Ghostwriter in that era.

Anyway, each episode would have guest stars read kids books. Here's Rosalind Chao and Rene Auberjonois.
