"The Island" is a rip-off of "Clonus"!
MST3K fans will remember "Parts: The Clonus Horror", now on DVD under its original title, "Clonus." And those who have seen "Clonus" and the trailers and synopses of the upcoming pseudo-SF Michael Bay film "The Island" say that the new movie is a total steal of the old movie, at 400 times the budget, and with not even a thank you to the folks they stole from. There's now an internet campaign under way to spread the word, just so that "The Island" is outed for what it is.
