This is ludicrous. A guy claims that in order to beat the Running Man in OOT, you need to do the following:

1. Challenge the guy as Adult Link.
2. Go back in time and go to the finish line.
3. Wait seven years of game time, which is supposedly a week in real-life (based on the rate at which the sun rises and sets, presumably).
4. Young Link will suddenly be replaced by Adult Link and the guy will appear and concede defeat.

Ludicrous. I distinctly remember reading that someone did a full dump of all of the game text, and that there was no message in there to allow for a victory. Besides, I'm pretty sure any and all events in OOT operate on a trigger, and unless there's a physical timer on the screen time means diddly squat. The trigger is set off by one of your actions, usually a conversation or beating a dungeon. Furthermore, you can't beat the running man if the race timer leaves the screen; and going back in time automatically overrides all such timers.

Wink

Seems like it'd be so much simpler to send this Running Man guy 7 years forward, go off and do other stuff for the next 6.99 years, and then stroll to the finish line ahead of him.

Unfortunately, time travel doesn't work like that in OOT. It's more of an "All Good Things" situation than a "City on the Edge of Forever" or "Future's End" one.

I actually wonder if someone is going to leave their N64 on for a week so they can come back and confront this guy. I hope someone does!

The really rotten part is that someone at TVTropes took this YouTube video at face value and added it to the site as though it was a fact.

iPad specs.

Comments:

They really should've put in a smaller screen and a physical keyboard. With a screen this big you're going to want to actually type instead of just tapping out short memos.

Six versions? Really? Are there that many people who want to pay the extra money for 3G access? If I wanted to pay every month for faster Internet in something like this, I'd get an iPhone!

No Flash? Still? I mean, come on! Any computer with a screen larger than a phone should be able to access every single website that exists! I'd willingly pay an extra ten bucks for the licensing for these things, doesn't Apple know that? And have they even tried to negotiate for a discounted bulk rate for software like this?

(Note: one of the comments indicates that the lack of Flash forces you to use the App Store to download all programs. I call that laziness on the part of Apple. There must be other ways to force us to use the App Store and keep away the unauthorized developers).

The only difference between an iPad and a giant iTouch is that you can pay the extra money to access 3G networks and pay a monthly fee for the privilege. Oh, and you can't fit iPads into standard iPod docks.

Truly one of the most useful pages anybody could ask for: The Chef Excellence Generator!

This one needs a bit of history. Famous YouTube tat reviewer Dr. Ashens unwittingly created an Internet meme when he reviewed the Chef Excellence Stay Fresh Cheese Bags. All they are is Ziplock knockoffs "As Sold on T.V. (In Some Countries)." Chef Excellence is a marketing device created in lieu of a genuine celebrity endorsement. Dr. Ashens created a fake jingle to present with the Chef Excellence picture along with a joke. Someone on Deviant Art modified it so you can put whatever you want under his picture!

A discussion regarding Apple and Adobe Flash.

PNQ: If Apple is resistant to let Flash into it's products, why can't they arrange to work with Adobe to create a BETTER Flash? A crashproof Flash!

Additionally, there is discussion about how bad Flash is.

PNQ: Does anyone else want to say "Tough cookies, I don't care how bad Flash is. That doesn't change the fact that some of my favorite sites run Flash!"

Geoffrey Chaucer Hath a Blog (e-i-e-i-o). Very funny if you're willing to sit there and parse the medieval English.

Clips from Star Trek featuring the second most important number ever, 47! The most important is 42, of course.

One of my favorite Star Trek conversations. Garak and Quark discuss root beer and compare it to the Federation as a whole.
