[color=#000000ost_uid0]I've read the book a couple of times, though not recently.

However, before you get too far on that fiver, you ought to check with Zeke. I seem to recall that he wasn't figuring on opening the site up to any book-based material beyond Shakespeare.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]I second that. Read the rules, regulations and FAQ on the fiver site before emailing Zeke though. You need to know what you're getting yourself into [/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Shark and Taya are right, I'm afraid. Sf novels are one set of floodgates I don't plan to open any time soon. Sorry.

That's an... interesting website you've got there, Icarus....[/colorost_uid0]

Agh! Popup hell! I vote for immediate banning for that (yes, I know this isn't a democracy). Or possibly just removing the link from the profile. I recall seeing the words "redirect" in the title bar, so I'm willing to believe that someone else hacked the site.

This next bit is strictly unofficial, but I don't think there are any rules against writing fivers for your own private, personal enjoyment.[/colorost_uid0]

That isn't quite the same thing, Celeste. Sa'ar is talking about writing literal fivers of pre-existing books and episodes and what-not for your own enjoyment, without sharing them with anyone else. The "Board Fivers" over in the Miscellaneous forum are amusing little stories that their writers make up as they go along. They aren't actual "fivers" in a strict sense. I don't believe we're allowed to post real fivers on the forums. Just a clarification.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Well part of that is true. [iost_uid0]I[/iost_uid0] didn't make my fivers up as I went along. Those things really happend! Kira and Zeke wanted to kill me because I anounced their togetherness before they had announced it. [/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Unofficial fivers other than BaW? Interesting... the question never occurred to me before. I'm leaning towards no, but I'll think about it some more.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Heh. I thought it was quite funny. After I got all the windows to close.
But that was yesterday, so I already expected something like it.[/colorost_uid0]
