Mostly Harmless, as it turned out. I'd skimmed through my copy, briefly, but must have missed that part.

You know, I never did find out what Zeke himself thinks of this...

Count yourself fortunate, because I just restrained myself from doing another snarky "don't pester Zeke" post. It was going to be a lulu, too.

Every time you do this, I feel as if I've missed a memo somewhere.

"HINT HINT" smacks of a demand, and demands to Zeke rarely end well. I speak of what I know firsthand.

Perhaps, but bear in mind that I'm revolting.

"Revolting" as in you're quitting/seceding/going on strike, or "revolting" as in you're disgusting/offensive/etc.?

That particular expression has never meant anything funny.

All I admit to is that it's not my best effort at wordplay.

I always take the Fifth, myself. Really annoys British judges when I do that.

If you want weird neuron misfires, PHJ, you would be amused to learn that your post reminded me of a line from Pink Floyd's The Wall.

That is weird, because at one time, I knew every line in The Wall and I really have no idea of which one PHJ's post would have reminded you (except that "The Trial" seems a somewhat more likely source than most of the other tracks.) I'm almost afraid to ask.

Good guess. You see, I've never heard/watched/whatever all of the wall. Way, WAY back in high school (standard dinosaur joke) I was in an acting class with a guy named (I want to say) Caleb. He was a huge Pink Floyd fan, and he insisted on using an excerpt from The Trial in a scene that we had to act out. I had to listen to that track over and over AND OVER AND OVER (remind me not to ever tell you about the time I had to listen to this song for over an hour) and certain lines got stuck in my head. To this day "since, my friend, you have revealed your deepest fears, I sentence you to be condemned before your peers" (not what PHJ reminded me of) festers in my mind as a terrible waste of brain cells. Probably PHJ reminded me of the line about filling him with an urge to defecate.
