Default I have less money than I did before, but it's okay

Look what I bought!

http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/ca...il.php?cam=745

It wasn't terribly cheap - nearly £400 once I added spare memory cards and a spare battery into the equation - but it'll be great all the same to have a camera that is definitively my own, and especially so one that is far better than what I'm currently using (a Canon PowerShot S1 IS, which is decent in its own right, but distinctly lacking in oomph). It doesn't arrive for another week or so, so here's hoping it arrives safe and sound.

I don't know about you, but I can never get enough pictures of English mud. Thanks PHJ.

Did you get it in black or silver? 'cause, that's what really makes all the differance.

That's Stornoway, specifically Stornoway town centre (what there is of it). That building with clock tower is the town hall.

You know, I can't actually remember now. I'm pretty sure it was the black. And yes, of course it makes all the difference.

That's good Scottish mud, that is. Much better than the common Sassenach type.

Thought it might be.

Strangely, in Gaelic, the word sassenach doesn't actually carry any negative connotations. It's only when it's used in English that it does (depending on who is saying it, of course).

I've got ancestors on both sides of the border so I can interpret it any way I want *g*

In Gaelic, it just means "Saxon", as in "those guys over there".
