[color=#000000ost_uid0]Oh, yeah? Well, I'll be in San Antonio -- on a band/orchestra trip -- and I get to see the Alamo -- and Shamu! So, there!

(I've been jealous of Cele for about, 7 months now cause of this trip -- so I've used it all up attemping plans to sneek into her luggage unfortunatly, all have failed - so, have fun, and take pictures! )[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]The Bahamas, eh? I'll be sure to watch the news a lot then, just on the off chance that they mention 'Hurricane Celeste'.

Just out of interest, who's looking after Riley?[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]I don't know about Celeste, but I certainly wouldn't trust that man with my dog (if I still had that one that is).[/colorost_uid0]

I know the feeling Sa'ar - I'm still waiting for Carleton and Western. I have, however, been accepted to Ryerson for Aerospace Engineering.

I'm just waiting to see if I can convince the obselete Canadian millitary to give me money... :think:[/colorost_uid0]

They said that they'd let me know by May 1st, and it looks like they're going right up to the deadline. I've established a rapport with a prof, which has buoyed my hopes. Of course, it also means that rejection will be that much more crushing.

The uncertainty makes it very difficult to plan for the summer.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Well, good luck to you Sa'ar! I wish I had some people on the inside like that. If it's any comfort, everybody that I know that's applied to UofT hasn't heard a word lately.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Danke.

A friend of mine applied a while ago, and they flew him out to interview him personally. 'course, they had to do it standing out on the street because of SARS (I'm thinking of changing my name to cash in on all the media hype - SARS Chasm).

This is the guy who got nearly 100% GPA in high school.[/colorost_uid0]

LOL! If you don't change your name to that, it would at least make a good signature.

I'm just finding the whole SARS situation a little ludicrous, especially when Mel Lastman started insulting the World Health Organization.

Perhaps I should try and prove that pie cures SARS...[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Only today have I found out what SARS stands for (and I think I've already forgotten), which is odd, because the media seems to like to repeat the basic facts of a matter over and over...but that's another thread.

But anyway, I'm back from Rolla. My presentation on onions went well; I'll probably put up a link if and when I can get wind of it being put on the web. Much better than that of the poor guy who came with 81 loaded Powerpoint slides for a 15-minute talk. :O It was quite an informative jaunt, interesting too, even if I couldn't figure out what several of the presenters were getting at (piezoelectric thingies in four domains? Uh, right, why was this research undertaken again? ).[/colorost_uid0]
