On this coming Monday, I will be flying to that well known mountainous patch of land called the Netherlands. There I will meet a certain Dutch person who is not unknown to the rest of you, and together we shall plot the downfall of first Zeke, and then the rest of the world, probably in that order.
So, without further ado, I declare this Official Thread Charting The Progress Of The Second Meeting Between PointyHairedJedi And catalina_marina For The Purposes Of World Domination And Probably Some Other Stuff (or OTCTPOTSMBPHJcmFTPOWDAPSOS for short) to be open!

Wow, you kept catalina's name in lower case even in an acronym. Is that even allowed?
Chandler: Holland. That's somewhere near the Netherlands, isn't it?
Joey: Yeah, right. The Netherlands is this made up place where Peter Pan and Wendy live.

We will await further reports.

Avoid making eye contact. Just give him some haggis and he'll go away.

I wouldn't know where to get that. Except Scotland maybe, but that wouldn't make sense, now would it?

I'm immune to haggis, as it happens, though a well thrown packed of Jelly Babies would probably distract me for long enough for someone to make a getaway.
Today is my first proper day here - yesterday I spent all of travelling, first nearly missing my flight to Amsterdam (due to sandwiches), and then having to wait nearly two hours because the trains from the aiport all stopped running just as we got there. I think someone may have tipped them off I was coming...

I seem to remember reading something about sandwiches and travel in England. It may have been only the ones found at railway stations, though, but as I recall, it just wasn't a good idea.

I think you're thinking of Douglas Adams, somehow. ;)

You could try warding him off with quince jelly, or if you have the patience and a copy on-hand, make him watch Plan 9 From Outer Space.
Hmm. I feel a new evil scheme coming on.

No, Douglas Adams was a bag of cookies at a train station.

Why ever would you think such a thing?

Well, Nate's right. But I'm right too. But then, I'm always right.
Guess who! ;)

You may very well be, but Nate's thinking of another thing entirely and is, therefore, wrong.
Guess who! ;)
Ummm... Alfred E. Newman?

I could say something evil here, but cat's watching me as I type, and so I think I might get an elbow in the ribs if I try anything. Ah well. Perhaps later...

If I say God of Rain, will you get it?
I've introduced cat and her boyfriend to the wonders of proper English tea, and so far they both have taken to it very well. I'm hoping that they'll be as addicted as I am by the end of next week. :D

The only God of Rain I know is that truck driver from Mostly Harmless.

We are already quite addicted, by the way.
My boyfriend is also addicted to English words like cupboard (although it sounds more like cubbit) and peckish.

Reminds me of my family. We call our dressers "chester drawers," a pathetic abridgment of "chest of drawers."

Well, there you go then.
I did try dropping 'nincompoop' into the conversation at one point, but sadly it did not seem to take. I must count the fact that catalina is showing all the early signs of tea additction as an outstanding success, however. :D

PHJ (or SpikeyHead) is now well on his way back to England, or well, probably already there. I'm not entirely sure when, but he'll arrive back at his isle sometime in the evening, I would guess.

That depends on the planes, I suppose. I didn't get an email yet though. He promised he would send one... Ah well, I'm sure he just forgot.
I hope.

I'm back on my tiny island (also known as Britain) just fine, though there was a holdup at Schiphol - some anonymous Dutch guy rang up the airport security and told them I had a bomb*. I wonder who that could have been...
(*Not really.)

Well, I finally got around to writing down exactly what it was I got up to (though I excised all the bits that Interpol might find interesting). I'm pretty glad I survived it all, especially the part where cat tried to kill me by making me ride a bike (yeah, I spotted that particular ulterior motive right away). Luckily I was able to foil her plans by not swerving in front of cars and getting deaded, so that worked out pretty well for me.
