Two things are enough to start a thread about, right?

From the "Seven of Seven" (https://fiveminute.net/anime/sevenofseven.html) . . . fiver? Parody?
Seven: *snort* Sure, if that's what you're into.
Seven: Meaning?
Seven: We'd have to go gay.
I haven't watched the show, but she definitely isn't *straight* as of Star Trek: Picard.

Derek Dean's FAQ:
Q: Oh, so you're married? To whom?

In the forums, she goes by MmeBlueberry.

Q: Aw, how sweet. Did you meet through this site?

Gosh, no. What sort of people would do that?
Total nerrrrrds, that's who.

LOL, funny how that worked out, isn't it? I don't know if you and KJ were a couple yet when Derek wrote that, but it's a moot point, because given the timing, I'm 1000% sure it was a sly reference to me and Kira.

As for Seven, however, no sale on that particular "Hilarious in Hindsight". The ST:P writers just created an original character and called her Seven; she had literally nothing in common with the VOY character, and will never affect a single thought I have about her. (I'm slightly spoiling a future joke here, but there's a reason "Seven" had no lines in the two Five-Second Picard seasons.)

"The Council" (https://fiveminute.net/enterprise/fiver.php?ep=thecouncil)

Walrus Xindi: It's true! You did find a Guardian!
Ant Xindi: Impossible! All the Guardians are in Pittsburgh! This is a faaaaaaake!
Not sure if you had an actual thing in mind or just "random place goes here" but my reaction is "Geographically close, but they're actually in Cleveland now."

Oh yeah, funny how that worked out. The real reference was to The Guardian (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Guardian_(TV_series)), an excellent show that was on at the time. (It starred Simon Baker, who went on to do The Mentalist, and now you're equipped to fully get one of my favourite bits in the Ring 2 (https://www.fiveminute.net/movies/thering2.php) fiver. Another cast member of interest around here was Raphael Sbarge, who played the traitor Jonas on Voyager.)

I've dropped a few other references to that show over the years, but I think they're mostly in OC fivers. There's also a funny near-miss: in the Angel pilot fiver (https://www.fiveminute.net/angel/fiver.php?ep=cityof), when Tina calls him a "guardian... knight" and Angel says she's thinking of his cousin Nick, it really sounds like a Guardian reference since the main character's name was Nick (and he was a broody atoner to boot). But in fact, that's all a coincidence. "Guardian" is there so she can humorously fail to land on "guardian angel", and the rest is a reference to Forever Knight, an earlier vampire show with a very similar premise.
