Zeke's latest Enterprise fiver, "The Crossing (http://3sygma.com/fiveminute/enterprise/thecrossing.html)," is now online. Enjoy; I know I did.[/color:post_uid0]

Somehow I just have this image of Reed looking like Mega Man.

Enjoyed the fiver, Zeke.[/color:post_uid0]

I enjoyed it too, although I only just now caught the [i:post_uid0]ST V[/i:post_uid0] reference.[/color:post_uid0]

[b:post_uid0]Tucker:[/b:post_uid0] I worked in a garage for a couple of summers.

I worked inna parking garage for 2-and-a-half years.
It totally sucked. (Pardon my foul language.)

[b:post_uid0]Archer:[/b:post_uid0] Hey, it's Rostov. I remember you from such episodes
as "Vox Sola" and "Two Days and Two Nights."

Excellent [b:post_uid0]Simpsons[/b:post_uid0] reference!
And the "consuming mass quantities" line from all those old
[b:post_uid0]SNL[/b:post_uid0] skits featuring the [b:post_uid0]Coneheads[/b:post_uid0] was good too.

[b:post_uid0][i:post_uid0]What do Wisps need with a starship?[/i:post_uid0][/b:post_uid0]
I think that's the [b:post_uid0]ST:V[/b:post_uid0] line that [b:post_uid0]NAH3M[/b:post_uid0] was talking about.

[b:post_uid0]Reed:[/b:post_uid0] Hi, T'Pol. Wanna get naked?
;)
Now what guy [b:post_uid0][i:post_uid0]hasn't[/i:post_uid0][/b:post_uid0] wanted to say that line a few times?

[b:post_uid0]Wisps:[/b:post_uid0] Screw this, we're going home.
Excellent [b:post_uid0]South Park[/b:post_uid0] reference!

[b:post_uid0]BRAVO, Zeke! *thunderous applause*[/b:post_uid0][/color:post_uid0]

>> T'Pol: T'Pol to Security. Mr. Reed is showing signs of possession.
Reed: Let's rock the casbah -- the Vulcan casbah!
T'Pol: And stupidity. <<

Heheheh.

Miranda rights and crossing guards -- this one definitely rates high on the unpardonable-pun-o-meter.[/color:post_uid0]

Only his uniform jacket. He was still wearing his T-shirt.[/color:post_uid0]

I.. er.. obtained the episode just to read the fiver (well, I was going to get it eventually...)

My favorite line was the one I thought was coincidence until I reread it:

[quote:post_uid0][b:post_uid0]T'Pol:[/b:post_uid0] We've now assembled 79 of the original crew here. That leaves 22 animated by Wisps.[/quote:post_uid0]

Very nice.[/color:post_uid0]

Ha [i:post_uid0]ha[/i:post_uid0]! I knew you'd be the one to get it. (I was worried that hinting at it with the word "animated" might make for ugly phrasing, but the effect is good if you know "anima" originally meant a soul or spirit.)[/color:post_uid0]

Zeke, you're amazing. It's like poetry.

etmology isn't one of my stregnths - but now I feel enriched and amused ;)[/color:post_uid0]

I missed the reference to "animated", so I thought maybe the 79 was a coincidence, or else the writers had decided to sneak it into the episode at the cost of continuity...[/color:post_uid0]

No, the numbers in the episode were different. There were 58 crew in the catwalk, 24 possessed by Wisps, and Phlox. That's where I got the 83.[/color:post_uid0]

There were 79 [b:post_uid0]original[/b:post_uid0] episodes, and it now seems that there were 22 episodes in the [b:post_uid0]animated[/b:post_uid0] series as well.[/color:post_uid0]

*or just likes doing thought lines like this one*
*or is totally out to lunch*[/color:post_uid0]
