I was there a minute ago, but no-one was there. It's for the best, I suppose, since I have to get through this whole forum before eh, 6:30 or so. :wink:
You just missed me!

Also, the log, for a second saturday in a row, is much shorter, so I can probably put up everything. I think they'll be in HTML format, and the logs will be posted soon! :D

The IrcAssistant will also have a name by next saturday!

The log, and the preivous logs will be posted as soon as I write some sort of conversion program from IRC log to HTML. I'll then post them on the web somewhere so you can read them all! Yay! :D

Supplemental:

Xeroc`s server got back online, but the majority of the chatters voted to stay in Lionsanctuary today. From tomorrow on we`re back on irc.xeroc.hopto.org, though, assuming it works.

If not, Lionsanctuary will always be a good back-up!

My (best-scenario) guess is that Xeroc has the server offline for some quick "routine maintenance", such as defragging, dusting, and making sure all the plugs are firmly plugged in where they're supposed to be ;).
Actually I do that during the week, so if it doesn't work then, that's probably why.

ANNOUNCEMENT!

It's working again!

So come to my server then!

Some of the lionsancuary chat won't be fully logged because there was no IrcAssistant!

The problem was, the server was working fine, and so was the IP re-router, but my router at home had the wrong LAN IP address for the port forwarding.

This happened because my Internet wanked out mysteriously and I had to restart all my computers and the router etc. and all the settings changed, it is a dynamic IP after all. THe IP Router service automatically updated, but the port forwarding did not.

This means, you couldn't get to my server as you were trying to connect to a different computer on my home network.

I'll try not to have this happen again, I'll configure it for a static IP.

Valium, follow these steps:

Install a program like mIRC (http://www.mirc.com/) or Trillian (http://www.trillian.cc/) to get onto IRC.

Then Type:

/server irc.xeroc.hopto.org

Then Type when it's connected:

/join #5mv

If that doesn't work, talk to me.

By the way...

I just updated my server with the Newest Version of Software - v1.2 - and I also aquired a static IP, so the server should now work better than ever (No more ping timeouts, and NAHTMMM doesn't get fried when someone changes they're name) and there shouldn't be any more outages of service!

This would be done in the web browser, so no, but:

Currently, It's taking me longer than predicted, so the IRC should be up for the next few weekends at least.

(Even though it seems almost no one shows up.)

Yes! The PHP/JS Chat officially has taken over all functions of the IRC!

It's also the full 1.0 version!

Well, you see, I went on a vacation, and, well the power went out. (Perfect Timing! :x) Sorry about that. I've been trying to move it to a more stable server (rather than one of my testing servers) but there are some things to work out before I can do that. I'll see what I can do. :)

Well, there is a theme option that's in the works, so you can change the background color, etc. to make it easy to read.

Also, could you tell me why the IRC is easier to use? I tried to make the PHP/JS Chat really easy to use.
