You're enthusiastic, Val, and that's good. But there are a couple of problems with this thread you've started.

-1- The forums aren't the place to try and call episodes. Site business is handled by email -- you've been doing that just fine till now.

-2- You have a point that now is a good time for more Doctor Who fivers, but you're not the one to be issuing a call to arms. You've only submitted one fiver and I haven't even had time to read it yet.

That said, now that this idea is on the table, I guess there's no reason not to keep it there. The DW fivists may as well have a thread. However, you aren't calling any more episodes until I've looked over your first one. Read the Submissions FAQ (../about/submissions.html) -- it explains our procedure and the reasons for it.

Two final points. One, there are several unpublished DW fivers already in the pipeline, so we're not running low or anything. That series is doing very well at 5MV even compared to some of the ones that actually have subsites. And two, you're going to love Version 4.0....

Zeke, thanks for remembering 5MDW among all of your other exciting innovations and the great material you yourself contribute. Sounds like brownnosing but I'm quite serious, I know what a strain it is to run a busy website, and have a real life as well.

And CV, welcome to the Doctor Who bandwagon. You're not alone, and there are others working on DW fivers. Keep working with Zeke and be patient. (After all, this is primarily a Star Trek web site... ;) ) If we have the opportunity to mount something special in honor of the new series, and especially if 5MDW were do get its own subsite someday, enthusiasm will be our bread and butter.

And FYI, since it's the first episode of a new series, Zeke himself gets first dibs on "Rose" when it comes out next year (should he want it). I should know--when I was a young greenhorn myself, I accidentally stole "An Unearthly Child" from him. But for some reason he let me get away from it, and I only had to eat 50 chili pies... :)

I could always write a fiver of that thirty eight word sentence of Julius`.

Okay... a fiver of the Gigantic Sentence of Doom, by Julius Caesar (a.k.a. my sig).

Yes - a fiver of a single sentence!

Ahem...

Things: Achievement!
Caesar: Oooh, reasons, belief, pie...
Gaul: Zzzzzzzz...
Belgae, Germans, Seduni: GAK!
Winter: Here I am, oh yes here I aaam!
Illyricum: Bed and breakfast, next month at half price! Oh, do visit!
Caesar: Road trip, road trip! Nations! Knowledge! Pie!
Gaul: KER-BLAM!
Caesar: Oh, spluck.

(Caesar runs back from Illyricum to Gaul at Ludicrous Speed)
