Okay, few things to say about this one. first off.

Ewww!!! Eating mice and blowing up reptilians! Yucka!

Second, Cool! :D I wish I could shoot weird energy discharges from my hands. ::Sighs::

Third, wth? Who is that blue dude? Why are they 400 years in the past? Or is this a change in the time line? Though how would that have happend? Am I going to pull my hair out all summer waiting for September or ::Gasp:: OCTOBER for the next season?

one word. Yes.[/color:post_uid0]

lol I was kinda disappointed that Archer was alive?

What? ;) No I like him, but he can be a pain sometimes.

But the episode was great! I really liked it. Until the end and I realized, great it's a cliffhanger! woohoo! Can I just say, I hate summer cliffhangers? because you're left to wonder all summer long about what's going to happen, and you have enough time to think about every scenario and then, it comes on and... you were wrong. Oh well, at least I got some TnT interaction! woohoo! Polly is 65, huh? I'm glad that Trip knows that now and his reaction was great! Oh yeah they want each other! even my husband said "they like each other." My husband the dense one, said that. :) ... (ok so he's not THAT dense, he married me after all)
I'm tellin' ya, Trip and T'Pol rock. ALMOST as much as P/T...

Sab, yep I'm a 'shipper.[/color:post_uid0]

A few thoughts...

First, anyone else getting a major Star Wars vibe (again) from the weapon? Yeah, I thought so. :D

Shran? WTF? Can we say "deus ex machina"? No? How about "plot contrivance"?

Riiiiight, Archer's dead with 15 minutes left in the episode. My first thought when they revealed he didn't get off the cube was "Shee-yeah, dead like a fox (../enterprise/shockwave.html)." I thought for sure Daniels had yoinked him out of the timeline, and I think that's still a definite possibility.

People kept saying Enterprise had hit its stride. I was inclined to agree. Then came the last few minutes of the episode. CoughFuture's End ripoffcough. I have a feeling the discussion went something like this:

[b:post_uid0]Enterprise Exec 1:[/b:post_uid0] So, the Guardians are screwed, the Xindi are our buddies now, and Earth is safe. What are we gonna do for next season?
[b:post_uid0]Enterprise Exec 2:[/b:post_uid0] Well, we could so some neat arcs looking at the formation of the Federation. Personally, I think it would be fascinating looking at some of the politics and early conflicts. Very DS9-ish.
[b:post_uid0]Enterprise Exec 3:[/b:post_uid0] Hey, does the Romulan War fit into this time period?
[b:post_uid0]Enterprise Exec 4:[/b:post_uid0] I've got it! Time travel! With alien Nazis!
[b:post_uid0]Other Execs:[/b:post_uid0] Sweeeeeet.

Of course, it's possible that they skipped right from step 1 to step 4 there.... I mean, come on. The whole idea of a prequel series is that it lays the foundation for the world we've already been exposed to in a lot of detail. I'm not interested in seeing the crew in alternate timelines or in the past, or other such stupid complications. (Hey, something else they have in common with Star Wars...) If this time travel thing is another gimmick, then obviously they haven't smartened up like I thought they had and this next season could easily be Enterprise's last.

So, a bum end to an improving season. Let's hope this isn't as stupid an excuse for a cliffhanger as it looks.[/color:post_uid0]

Inhale, exhale. All right, now that that's out of my system... what the blippin' hey was [i:post_uid0]that[/i:post_uid0]? Haven't we already done Nazis? But I have to admit, I was quite shocked by the direction the last few minutes took. I mean, how could you possibly expect that? I thought Shran might've swooped in and snagged Archer with his transporter at the last second. And I sure wasn't prepared for any time travel, and that was damn strange, having those planes shooting at the shuttlepod. I guess a gravometric distortion reversed the polarity of the weapon's energy matrix, forming a subspace rift that threw Archer back in time. :D[/color:post_uid0]

The whole space Nazi twist came so far out of left field, it must have been pitched all the way to orbit and chartered a round trip throughout the entire universe.

Well, at least they actually got a few native speakers of German in there.

I mean, WAH! Those last few minutes...I'm not sure if they killed it, I'll tell you when the next season rolls around, but that's a mighty peculiar way to end the season.

But yay for mouse eating, T'Pol's age and Dolim's explosive demise.

Coincidence. The skin is different, the eyes are red while the Reman's aren't, and I agree with Celeste that the detail on the nose is different. In fact, my first thought was that it looked like the Master from BtVS. I think it's just a general creepy alien, not a Reman. There's no way they can make that work... I hope. *start of rant*:madder:
*&%& $&*% *^*#*^*#! Why is that any time America is at war, they bring up the Nazis? Like, "Hey, look, we're at war, but remember these guys? They were worse!".
*end of rant*:madder:

Sorry. But this ep encompassed some of my pet peeves:
-Bringing up something as evil as the Nazis for a plot device.
-Coming close to implying that most Germans were Nazis(which is false, and although many men were part of the German Army which was controlled by the Nazis, there was a draft, and the men literally did not have a choice, to the point that partly-Jewish men were drafted into the Nazi-controlled German army!)
-Alien Nazis.
-Timeline changes!

Those aside, rather good ep, were it not for the last 2 minutes. Maybe they could have spiced it up a bit...the world controlled by, say, Chairman Mao and his dictatorship? Nixon controlling the world? Big Brother? Agent Smith? [i:post_uid0]Winston[/i:post_uid0] Smith?[/color:post_uid0]

I too think it's probably a coincidence, but I'm not as sure as Kira is. The makeup similarities are really striking. Also, when I first saw the guy, I thought he looked very blue -- though that hasn't shown up as much in the photos I've seen since.[/color:post_uid0]

It also reminded me of the Voyager holodeck episodes. So here's a theory:

Maybe it's not time travel at all, maybe this race of aliens took over earth to recreate a war or two. Though, that wouldn't neccesarilly explain the absence of all of Earth's space stations. Also, I don't like that explanation.

So here are the two time-travel explanations: Either they went back in time. Or they are in an alternate timeline, in which the Nazi's have taken over the world. After all, they are in San Francisco. Though, why do they still use such primitive technology.

In case there is a time-travel explanation, who traveled with them? The aquatic ship? Shran? And where the fr*ll is Daniels when you need him? :)

Or we could go with the Buffy explanation. The Nazi guy is an ubervamp member of Wolf Ram and Hart and in a moment we'll see him turned to dust with Spike standing behind him. Yeah. That's it.

Anyway, I liked the episode a lot.[/color:post_uid0]

Now the Enterprise is sent back in time as well to recover archer and bring him back home alive. I think. Althought why Daniels had to go all screwy like that and not just transport him to someplace else or transport him back for people. Second off...Nazis are a Trek plot device. "Hey, we're out of ideas. Let's bring in Nazis....and Time travel! Yeah!"

I expected Shran. I didn't expect the Vulcans. Thank all deities they weren't there.

Maybe this is Paramount's excuse to bring them in.

First off: WTF WAS THAT?!?

Don't get me wrong, I've seen enough ENT lately to know what's going on, but I personally think that B&B chose to do this to screw with the minds of those that watch the show. I mean, come on, there's a whole bunch stuff that should have been done different, but a small listing of problems seems a good way to start.

First off, Why did [i:post_uid0]Enterprise[/i:post_uid0] end up in the past?
Maybe, just maybe, their immersion in that trans-dimensional space sent them back into the past.
Several problems with this though: If they were sent into the past, how were they able to meet up with Degra's ship, and be transported back to earth by an Aquatic vessel? If they too were transported into the past, then that could explain things, but also cause other problems. [i:post_uid0]Enterprise[/i:post_uid0] might be explainable by the immersion in trans-dimensional space, although that's really stretching it, but how would Degra's and the Aquatic's ship be explained?

Second: Good question, where is Daniels? Maybe he's killing time by censoring those book Archer saw.

Third: It seems unlikely that the world has been conquered by the Nazi's, alien or not. Best guess of when they are is sometime in the very early 1940's. I say this because P-51 Mustangs only came into existence during that time. And why would Nazi's use an allied design when they had effective designs of their own?
And it was Mustangs that shot at the shuttlepod. They are very distinctive.

As for the rest, like Shran and Dolim's [i:post_uid0]energetic reversion to kit form[/i:post_uid0], they were fun, though Shran's entrance did seem like a most unexpected thing. I like his attitude though. "Tell Archer, we're not even anymore. Now, he owes ME!" The things some people do...

It kicked for the most part, but I had a hard time doing what was necessary to watch it; shut off my brain, and just try to enjoy it.[/color:post_uid0]

So there are two possibilities. Either the alien nazi (and his race) purposely transported them to the past, or it was an accident, and the alien doesn't even know Archer's from the future.[/color:post_uid0]

Finally got a chance to watch the finale.

In all, I think I liked it all the way up until the cliffhanger, which just felt unnecessary. It reminded me of the ending to the 2001 [i:post_uid0]Planet of the Apes[/i:post_uid0], just an unnecessary twist to keep the audience guessing.

Some of my dislike may be due to the fact that I felt the crew of Enterprise deserved a break for the summer. After this year long threat of annihilation, all the sacrifices that had to be made, all the stress that's been on them, I felt they deserved a good three months unwinding back on Earth, while the Enterprise gets repaired in spacedock. Oh well.

Otherwise, I thought the episode was good. I really liked the momentum and the way we kept cutting between the Enterprise and Degra's ship. Shran was a bit out of the blue (pun intended), but I didn't have much of a problem with it.[/color:post_uid0]

No, I'm inclined to disagree. The WWII bombers buzzing the shuttlepod make me think that Enterprise, and not just Archer, has been sent back into the past, although not quite as we remember it. Maybe this is Daniels' retaliation for Archer not listening to him. ("Thinks he's so smart... well let's see how he likes ALIEN NAZIS MWAHAHAHAHA!")

I too would have liked it if the crew could have had some downtime on Earth. It would have been interesting to come back in three months and find out what they've all been doing. Did T'Pol visit Vulcan or stay on Earth? (And the verdict from the T'Pol/Trippers is... Earth.) How is Trip dealing with being back home with half of Florida carved out? (He probably needs some neuropressure, the poor dear.) Does anyone care what Mayweather did? (Ha! No.) What does Reed find to shoot at? (Dinner?) And so forth. When I saw the episode, I assumed Archer was in San Fransisco too, but he could just as easily have been somewhere is Europe. That means the shuttlepod was probably attacked by the allies. This episode was filmed prior to the decision to renew it. If they [i:post_uid0]had[/i:post_uid0] cancelled it... *shudders*. Maybe this was just a ploy by B&B to get the show renewed, or to screrw everyone over if the show was cancelled.

Maybe they'll just have some minor plot point to say that Season 3 was just a test of the emergency broadcast system, and if it actually had been an emergency, the Borg, the Q Continuum and the bug parasite things from season 1 of TNG would have been directly involved.[/color:post_uid0]
