In a fight....

Ok. Having an 'difference of opinion' with a friend today.
I'm a total sci-fi fan, and in my mind no sci-fi is bad. It all has it's place. But I do have some things I like more than others. But that doesn't mean I let it cloud my judgement, when debating things. I do like Trek more than Star Wars. And I feel that the weapons in Star Trek (Lasers) are less powerful than Treks (Phasers) and the Defences in Trek (Shields) are better than Star Wars (I.e. None). But just because I like Trek more, I would still argue for Star Wars if I thought it was right. I.e. the Engines in Star Wars are much more powerful than Trek.
With this in mind I remarked to my friend (A Huge SW fan) that I believed K-9 could “beat the hell” out of R2-D2 in a fight.
I’m pretty sure he could. I mean we’ve seen him take out 5-10 men in one go. He even destroyed a killer robot Parrot of death too.
R2-D2 on the other hand…well he has no real offensive capabilities, does he?

I plump for K-9!

Anyone else have a usually match up? Who do you think would win? Why?
