Arg, more Morphine strong-arm tactics. Unfortunately, this one rankles me more because it affects the digital constituency, of which I am a part. Consider my support lost and given to...um...somebody. Somebody who...isn't you...and is...er...line?
Your line is:

The Xeroc Aquillion & Nic Corelli Party!

Anyway, I've yet to choose a horse to back. If anyone wishes to make feeble attempts at bribery, now is your chance.

Oh, and thirty cubic tons of pure fiverinium - the third most valuable stuff on the planet!

[quickly hides the black market fiverinium and satellitogen]
These aren't the elements you're looking for.

(We have the best pie :wink: )

The best pie, you say? I crave proof!

Chancellor Valium
11-09-2004, 10:53 AM
No they don't. For good pie you need fiverinium. And we have the largest stockpiles.Also, lexy mentions blood.....ahem..."strong arm tactics" we have never used strong arm tactics......Iron Fist is a much better description :D (joke). anyway, you never told us you supported us.... :( . Anyway, we need new people (eg yourself) to help our efforts. Oh, and we offer the best package :wink: . Ooh, and we now offer the fiverinium, and the same amount in pie, not to mention the same again in stamps, which are legal tender, btw.......... :wink:
Oh, and pie? Here's pie WE offer - all of it...:

Rayinne, I, as one of the top member at the Morphine party, do not use strong-arm tactics. I do, however, have strong arms from making cookies and being in theatre. My cookies are yummy to eat; and if it were possible, I would send to you :) My theatre experience, and the fact that I am actually in a university theatre progrom, show that I have what it take to the eTrektion winner. Please don't leave!

But none of the other issues are tasty and digestible, unless you're a weird sort of ENT 'shipper, which I'm not.

But the other issues are important. Those who know me know that canon is a nigh-sacred thing to me unless it's nonsense. Many candidates have promised to clean up canon messes, and many have promised to add more insanity. A few have even done both. So, who to choose, who to choose...

Alexia
11-11-2004, 01:09 PM
There are pages of all the issues debated a little further back in this thread, but I'm sure you don't want to back read all that. So I shall summarise here:-

Vote for Sab & Myself :mrgreen: Canon & realistic Trek. No rubbish and delicious pie.

The defence rests :wink: Or, ya know, vote for someone else. Whatever :wink:

And btw Valium, posting immediatly after me with "We have what Lexy has, but more!" doesn't count :wink:

KillerGodMan
11-11-2004, 09:26 PM
The Morphine Party Offers Continuety, an important factor in Star Trek
We offer Canon, which makes sure ENT doesn't F--- up the other Treks
We offer Pie, as Valium already stated
We offer Stuff done on time, no re-runs
We offer Ships that are In Character
We offer Character development
We offer a swift kick in the Nazi Alien's Rear-end
And, if enough requests are recieved
We offer killing people off

That's not all we offer, there's a LOT more, but that's some of the big ones.

Chancellor Valium
11-12-2004, 08:55 AM

I am not a sandwich, I am a free man!

I've had a look at some of the early outlines that Catbert and HAL have penned, and I can tell you it's very interesting stuff they have planned. Less temporal shenanigans and wars with races you've never heard of, and more about actual exploration and the birth of the Federation. And that's just for starters of course. What's coming after is even better. :D

Less money? Well, not really. HAL doesn't need a salary, and Catbert already has indentured staff for that kind of thing.

And besides which, HAL isn't crazy really. He's perfectly sane now that he's not trying to follow two sets of conflicting instructions.

Chancellor Valium
11-27-2004, 07:21 PM
What two sets of conflicting instructions....and just in case, to ensure sanity, feed him this code:
++<@~}scew{~@_OL+=
10 REM [==qq==]
20 REM [==roe==]
30 REM [==insanity-null==]
40 REM [==sanity-max==]
50 REM [==harm-human-null==]
60 REM [==regul-loop-inverse==]
70 REM [==read&print==]
++<@~}/scew{~@_OL+=

that should keep HAL sane....it restricts his ability to be insane, or harm humans. the perfect medicine for a computer.

MaverickZer0
11-28-2004, 05:28 AM
Constricting an intelligent computer is the same as constricting an intelligent robot or human. It's morally reprehensible.

Besides, HAL is sane enough for Enterprise.

Pollsters at the Five-Minute University have compiled a completely accurate[1] poll regarding the eTrektion, with only one question: If you could vote for any sentient entity, who would it be?

The answer was both surprising and unsurprising at the same time. With 75% of the vote, Seko the Sig Kitty would be the choice of the populace. However, as Seko is not running due to orders from a certain person who shall remain obvious, the focus shifts to the #2 response, the Morphine Party, with 10%. The Morphine spokesman, Mr. Opium, cited an in-house struggle as the reason for their poor showing, upon which his former running mate, Mr. Valium, proceeded to call him a "big ninny doo-doo-head."

As for Zuke, sources state he intends to use the power of this small feline for his own twisted ends. Those ends appear to be *MMPHGRMMLGEPH* *thunk*

Wow, someone else who watched that.

Never mind the fact that I couldn't remember the name until I Googled it in a fit of night-shift weekend boredom three years ago, remembered nothing other than the theme song and that stupid robot, and wasn't aware that they had laser swords until you just reminded me.
It's not half bad, either. There was a Region 2 DVD released not so long ago, which is most certainly on my list of things to buy.

And, for if any reason anyone should particularly want to, the intro sequence is available for download from here (http://www.sfxb.co.uk/animated/ulysses31.html) (scroll to the bottom of the page).
